Jared has traveled to over 40 countries, including multiple stints to Australia where he lived and worked in 2003-2004.
One of his first memorable (if not favorite) travel experiences is when his mother enrolled him in an intensive French class while traveling in Geneva, Switzerland. Jared, bored and intimidated, was 12 at the time, while all the other students were in their 20s.
However, this experience did not squash Jared's travel bug, and he started traveling independently towards the end of high school. His favorite destinations include Vietnam, South Africa, and for pure island bliss, Western Samoa and the Cook Islands. Later in life, Jared took his passion for travel and made it into a career and worked for one of the largest adventure travel operators in the world. Next up for Jared is a family trip to Singapore and the Philippines.
When not traveling, Jared can be found exploring the San Francisco Bay area, where he lives with his family and yellow Lab, Homer.
