Rivers, Sailing, Africa, Small Ship Cruises, Wildlife Watching, Birding (just watching, really!)

Though his ancestors hail from a mountainous region, Rover has explored all seven continents and he enjoys and is knowledgable about all terrain and travel styles.  He is fully trained in search and rescue but prefers to help people prevent themselves getting into trouble and enjoys guiding travelers to find the right level of adventure for them.

When not guiding travelers his hobbies include perfecting 'the look' that gets him affection and food close to instantaneously, as well as exercising with other Stride team members.  He is an avid frisbee player and fetcher.

I spend so much time on the road, that sometimes I think my favorite trip is to my favorite local park -- Golden Gate Park.  But after that, I'd have to say Machu Picchu and Peru: mountains, rainforest, hiking, nature, history, archaeology, culture -- and the Pisco Sours.... It has it all.

Brazil.  Or perhaps Burma. Or maybe Cuba.  Italy is also on the short list. And Golden Gate Park.
