Yellowstone National Park is full of many natural wonders. It can be hard to decide where to focus your attention during your trip. Below are some of the attractions in Yellowstone that you can't miss.
1. Old Faithful Geyser
Possibly the most well known landmark of Yellowstone National park, the Old Faithful Geyser is a must see for travelers. If you are really craving to see an active geyser, the Old Faithful is the most predictable so be sure to bring your cameras!
2. Grand Prismatic Spring
The largest hot spring in the United States, the Grand Prismatic Spring is the most photographed destination in Yellowstone National Park. There are many different and wonderful views of this spring for travelers looking to witness and capture a natural wonder.
3. Lamar Valley
For wildlife lovers, Lamar Valley is great for watching many different kinds of creatures. This location is less popular due to its remote location but it is well worth the effort. Here you can see and photograph wild bison, elk, bears and wolves.
4. Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone
This destination yields many walking trails and great lookouts to see the canyon from above. The most well known is Artist Point where you can also get a glimpse of the waterfall, Lower Falls.
5. Yellowstone Lake
Great for a boat tour, Yellowstone Lake offers many different kinds of experiences. Travelers can go fishing and kayaking but avoid swimming as the water tends to be too cold for a dip. If you don’t want to devote a whole day to the Lake, many trails lead to the shores for a quick sight of the natural beauty.
6. Biscuit Basin
Here travelers can find a collection of colorful thermal pools and geysers. It’s named after the unusual biscuit-like shaped deposits. For travelers wanting to get in more well known sights like Old Faithful first and foremost, this sight is only three miles north.
7. Tower Fall
A waterfall in the northeastern region of Yellowstone, Tower Fall has a plunge of 132 feet and is named after the rock pinnacles at the top of the fall. This is a stunning view for everyone to witness and provides a great photography opportunity for travelers with a camera.
