the trip was epic, beautiful views , wonderful sailing , amazing food , the energy was beyond wonderful, it was very interactive and honestly so amazing. I look forward to going to sail in Croatia with Toni again, I went into the trip expecting it to be like my greece sailing trip and it was nothing like that at all i love that we moored in the harbours, I had no idea really that was even a thing , I loved how patient our skipper was teaching us all how to sail and that he encouraged us to name the dingy, I feel like I'm gushing but Im not it was the best holiday I have ever been on. If I had to give any additional advice I would say that it would be nice if the boat had better quality snorkel gear, Im not a weak swimmer but my gear made it bit challenging.

This trip was everything I hoped it would be and more

April 2017
Recommend: Yes
This trip was everything I hoped it would be and more. Costa Rica is a gorgeous country and I'm so grateful that I got to experience the pura vida lifestyle, even if it was only for 9 too short days. Ronny, our CEO, got to know each of us individually and made recommendations based on our interests. He was a pleasure to have as part of our group and added so much value to our experience. Ronny was fun and truly ensured that we had the best experience imaginable. He was helpful and accommodating whenever we needed him and was always looking out for our safety. The optional activities that were recommended were all well worth the money and the customer service was excellent. Our drivers and transportation were excellent as well and all of the accommodations were clean and comfortable. I have been home for less than 48 hours and have already recommended this trip to family and friends.

This was my third trip to Africa (second with G Adventures), and it pretty much topped the list. I went to see animals, and boy did I ever see animals!!! Kenya and Tanzania outdo South Africa by a long shot as far as wildlife goes. The Masai Mara, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater were teeming with practically every African animal you can think of .... and were they ever active! And the hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti was a once-in-a-lifetime experience --- worth every penny!! Congratulations to G for not only coming up with a fascinating itinerary, excellent accommodations, and knowledgeable CEOs and drivers, but for their support of local projects in most of the countries they work in. Lead with Service, Embrace the Bizarre (can you say 'ostrich courtship'--), and Do the Right Thing .... that's my memory of Kenya and Tanzania.

Recommend: Yes
When I was researching potential tours of Southeast Asia, I was looking for Thailand (Bangkok and Chiang Mai specifically) and Cambodia (Siem Reap/Angkor Wat specifically). The other destinations on this tour were just added bonuses. I am so happy that I chose this tour; it took me to places that I have never gone to -- like Luang Prabang which I had never heard of -- even though I consider myself to be a savvy traveler. I am happy that I went to Vietnam to learn about that country's perspective on history and to marvel at the beauty of Halong Bay. This particular tour offered the right mix of culture, history, escorted adventure, and individual discovery. It seemed to appeal to everyone in our group of ten travelers who ranged in age from their 20s to their 60s.

Day 1 Victoria Falls

We highly recommend booking pre or post nights to take full advantage of activities at Victoria Falls and around Zambezi. Our convenient G rep can help arrange optional activities. Additional Notes: Your arrival transfer is included from the Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe (VFA) airport. Should you choose to fly into Livingstone, Zambia (LVI), we can arrange a transfer at an additional cost. Please speak to your agent for details. Included Activities: Arrival Day and Welcome Meeting Transport: Private Vehicle

Day 2 Victoria Falls/Okavango Delta (1B, 1L, 1D)

Arrive on the houseboat this evening. On the boat, you’ll receive a safety briefing and meet the crew and check into your cabin. Relax this evening with a sundowner. Enjoy your journey into the “Panhandle” area of the Okavango Delta in northern Botswana. This area is one of the most remote and peaceful areas of the delta with only a handful of permanent boats and camps operating in this area, which makes it an ideal place to stay. The houseboat consists of two decks. The lower deck has eight simple, comfortable en-suit cabins with sliding glass doors that open to the pristine wilderness of the Okavango Delta. The upper deck is roughly three meters above the waterline. It’s where the dining area, bar, and sundecks are located. Power on the houseboat is run by a generator, which means there are only a few hours a day to heat water and change up any devices. There is no A/C on the houseboat and sometimes hot water can run out. We recommend bringing a small lantern or flashlight for use in your cabin. Additional Notes: We have a long drive today, but your private A/C vehicle will ensure you’re comfortable. Just sit back, relax, and enjoy the scenery. There will be plenty of breaks along the way to stretch your legs. Included Activities: Border Crossing (Zimbabwe - Namibia - Botswana) Transport: Private Vehicle (10.00-11.00 hours)

Day 3 Okavango Delta (1B, 1L, 1D)

Enjoy your day on the houseboat with early morning and late afternoon wildlife excursions. Your small boat takes your into channels and waterways for optimal wildlife viewing and birdwatching. Opt to enjoy a cultural excursion to Tsoldilo Hills to view ancient San Bushman rock paintings or choose to relax on deck with a cool drink as you watch the scenery pass by. Additional Notes: Passengers who choose to take the optional Tsoldilo Hills excursion will miss the morning boat excursion. All activities in the delta are subject to weather and water levels. Timing of excursions and visits to specific locations are completely dependent on local conditions. Included Activities: Okavango Panhandle Wildlife Excursion

Day 4 Okavango Delta/Maun (1B, 1D)

Stay at a hotel that offers a pleasant eating area and a beautiful swimming pool. In the afternoon, relax at the hotel, which is situated on the banks of the Thamalakane River. Included Activities: Botswana Storytelling and Traditional Dinner Transport: 4x4 (5.00 hour(s), 380km)

Day 5 Maun/Moremi Game Reserve (1B, 1L, 1D)

Take a leisurely drive to our camp in the Khwai River area. enjoying wildlife viewing enroute. Due to the fact that none of Botswana’s wildlife reserves are fenced, game can move freely between wilderness areas. This region’s diversity of wildlife is astounding and has been rated as one of the best game viewing areas in the world. Our lodge boasts a majestic dining and lounge area leading onto a viewing deck over the bushveldt. Enjoy spectacular sunsets over sundowners from the quaint bar or from the deck of your comfort en-suite tent. Additional Notes: The vehicle used from here until our return back to Victoria Falls is a 12-seater Toyota Landcruiser. The Landcruiser has open sides and a removable canvas roof. There is no A/C in the vehicle and the ride can often be dusty and a little rough. Some travel days can also be quite long. This vehicle is used throughout the tour on all game drives and long drives. Road conditions in the region can range from good to very poor. As such, we slow our traveling speed in the rough spots and enjoy some sand and bumps – all part of the adventure of traveling in Africa! Included Activities: Moremi Wildlife Safari Drive Transport: 4x4 (5.00 hour(s), 130km)

Day 6 Moremi Game Reserve (1B, 1L, 1D)

Embark early on an open vehicle game drive in Moremi and surrounding concession areas. Break for lunch before continuing on with the game drive. Return to camp in the afternoon with time to relax at the comfortable tented camp. Included Activities: Moremi Wildlife Safari Drive Moremi Wildlife Safari Drive Transport: 4x4

Day 7 Moremi Game Reserve/Chobe National Park (1B, 1L, 1D)

In the early afternoon, head south towards the Ghoha Hills and the Savuti area. Enjoy game viewing along the hills and at the surrounding waterholes. At Ghoha Hills Savuti Camp, meru tents have been placed on platforms on the hills overlooking Chobe National Park. The tents are spacious and include an en-suite. The guest area consists of an intimate lounge, bar, and dining area overlooking the Ghoha Hills. Included Activities: Moremi Wildlife Safari Drive Chobe and Savuti National Parks Talk Transport: 4x4 (7.00 hour(s), 190km)

Day 8 Chobe National Park/Kasane (1B, 1L)

Keep an eye out for Chobe bushbuck and puku antelope, which are found only in this part of Botswana. The Chobe River is home to the world’s largest elephant herds; buffalo, hippos, and lions can also be seen here. Opt into the photo wildlife safari on the Chobe River at sunset; you’ll be accompanied by an expert wildlife photographer and guide who will help you get the perfect shot. Included Activities: Chobe River Drive Transport: 4x4 (5.00 hour(s), 180km)

Day 9 Kasane/Victoria Falls (1B)

Opt to enjoy a helicopter ride over the falls, or a cruise on the Zambezi at sunset to ring in the day. Included Activities: Border Crossing (Botswana - Zimbabwe) Transport: Private Vehicle (2.00-3.00 hours, 120km)
