Adriatic Sea
The Adriatic Sea, a 500-mile-long arm of the Mediterranean, divides Italy from the Balkans and provides the scenic waterway for small-ship cruises that leave from Venice to explore the coast of Croatia to the southeast and, sometimes, farther south to Montenegro and Albania. The jewels of the Adriatic are Venice and the Croatian islands, as well as historic Croatian coastal cities such as Pula, Split, and Dubrovnik. The short Slovenian coastline also lies along the Adriatic.

A really enjoyable trip
A really enjoyable trip with stunningly beautiful scenery in Montenegro. There was a good variety of walking, exploring towns interspersed with boat trips, ferry rides and time for swimming.

Learn the history of a part of the world
We felt fortunate to experience the landscape and learn the history of a part of the world we knew little about. The scenery was breathtaking, the cultural aspects mind-expanding. Our guides were knowledgeable, considerate of our abilities and interests, and delightful.

The Montenegro Coast is wonderful! All of the hotels were not first-class but very good. The food was all great! Our guide was very good and attentive. I loved that we only had six of us travelling for the week. The small group was great!

The trip exceeded our expectations
The trip exceeded our expectations. The diversity of the experience of hiking in the mountains and then along the coast was tremendous. We did not expect to see such jaw-dropping scenery and to experience so much local interaction, especially concerning the array of meal experiences we had.
