"This trip 'Peru In depth and the Inca trail' was the perfect length of time to spend after a long haul flight. It also meant that we were properly acclimatised by the time we began the trekking. Highlights of the trip were:- entering the Sun Gate to Machu Picchu and seeing the sun temple gradually revealed through the clouds, the mighty condors in the Colca canyon, the Nasca lines in the desert, walking in the Pacific Ocean with the desert around us. The expertise of the guides and our trekking leader Darwin who was calm and kind at all times, the camaraderie of the group, camping high up in the Andes with llamas wandering around and the starry sky with no light pollution......... or internet, maybe that would put you off, if so this is not for you!"
