Buenos Aires Itineraries

The tour leader was excellent - very organised, helpful and friendly, and on top of every detail. The itinerary involves travel of long distances and stops of just one or two nights in many places. Hotels acceptable but variable. The wine tastings are fine, and the landscapes are interesting and sometimes impressive or a bit surreal. There is not much walking/hiking. Explore admin was adequate but did make some errors. They were not much help in arranging extra days or flights t/from the UK (I used Dial-a-Flight, who were excellent).

Wow, what a trip! This is a holiday full of varied experiences, its very full on with plenty of road miles covered visiting different parts of Northern Argentina with plenty of interesting stops along the way.
My own personal highlights were Talampaya National Park with its Triassic sandstone landscapes sculpted in wonderful ways, over many millions of years, by various desert processes, the 'al fresco' lunch under a red pepper tree at a one-time hacienda in Molinas on the way to Cachi, the enjoyable pena night in Salta, the wine estates in Lujan de Cuyo and Cafayate, the incredible Serro de los Siete Colores and vibrant market place in Purmamarca, the Boca Juniors football stadium replete with a lookalike Diego Maradona and the beautiful Mendoza plazas lit up splendidly at night!
A special mention to our brilliant Tour Guide, Andres. Knowledgeable, likeable and superbly organised he made the trip run smoothly and each day enjoyable, along with his many 'sidekicks' especially our expert minibus driver, Jorge, who drove us from Mendoza to Salta and the effervescent Jose in Buenos Aires. There were eleven of us in the tour party from the UK, Canada and the US and we all got along fine. A holiday to remember! I would thoroughly recommend this adventure to anybody.

This trip focuses on the varied and incredible landscapes of northwest Argentina, showcasing the incredible diversity and beauty in each area. We travelled 3000 km with some long days on rough roads. That said, everyday for me was an adventure with incredible scenery unlike anything I had ever seen before. The guide was knowledgable, hardworking, and personable. I believe this trip was that much better because of the leadership of our guide. If you want to taste some wine and explore some beautiful scenery, this trip delivers.

The entire trip was fabulous and the tour leaders were great. I was able to see more in less than two weeks than I could have imagined. Everything was well managed and the group was fantastic. I had a dental issue with lots of pain and my tour leader, Blanca, helped me sort it all out on a holiday day in Argentina. I could not ask for more. A great trip.
