Dalmatian Coast in 7-10 days

Croatia Culture Immersion Tour Itinerary

Cruise ships or yachts are one of the best ways to see the Dalmatian Coast. Many of these tours last only 8-10 days and only include stops in Croatia to provide a total Dalmatian Coast experience.

Day 1, Split: Arrive in Split and explore the region’s largest city and homebase for Dalmatian Coast voyages.

Day 2, Split and Brac: Begin your day with a walking tour of Diocletian’s Palace, one of the most important Roman ruins in Croatia. In the afternoon, board your yacht to head out into the Dalmatian archipelago and see the beautiful island of Brac.

Day 3, Brac and Splitska: Enjoy a packed day of exploring Brac and the town of Splitska. Tour the olive fields and historic sites that make this island famous.

Day 4, Hvar: Spend the day enjoying the small village of Vroska, nicknamed “little Venice,” on Hvar and end your day walking through the Stari Gard neighborhood of Hvar Town.

Day 5, Hvar to Vis: Take the morning to further explore Hvar Town before boarding the yacht and cruise through the Adriatic before stopping at the remote island of Vis.

Day 6, Vis: Check out the stunning Bisevo’s Blue Grotto next to the sea and the mysterious military tunnels and submarine ports on the island.

Day 7, Korcula: Sail to Korcula to see one of Europe’s most important medieval cities.

Day 8, Peljesac Peninsula: Sail from Korcula to Dalmatia’s largest peninsula that is dotted with small villages, shallow coves, fruit trees, and beautiful scenery.

Day 9, Dubrovnik: Say goodbye to your crew before heading out by bus to the famous salt walls of Ston. End your trip in the Dubrovnik, one of the most culturally-rich cities in the region.

Day 1, Depart: Depart your home country and make your way to Croatia’s capital city of Zagreb.

Day 2, Arrive in Zagreb: Arrive in the elegant city of Zagreb where you are greeted at the airport and transferred to your downtown hotel. Enjoy a greeting meal in the evening to get to know your fellow travelers.

Day 8, Plitvice Lakes: Head back into Croatia to visit one of Croatia’s most important national parks. The Plitvice Lakes are 16 teal lakes connected by over 90 waterfalls that provide an escape from the city life.

Day 9, Zadar and Trogir: Get your first introduction into the culture of the Dalmatian Coast in two of it’s finest cities. Zadar and Trogir are both rich in history and important traditional seafaring cities.

Day 10, Split: Get out and get friendly with the heart of the Dalmatian region. Split is the perfect combination of the past and the present and is a must-see on any Croatian trip.

Day 11, Dubrovnik: After arriving the night before, enjoy a guided tour of the famous “Walls of Dubrovnik” and take advantage of the free time in the afternoon and evening to kayak around the bay or stroll through the city.

Day 12, Kotor: Cross the border into Montenegro to see the southern version of the Norwegian fjords. The Bay of Kotor is not only a historic center, but one of the most stunning bays in Europe.

Croatia Island Hopping
Fantastic first time to Croatia and an amazing introduction and itinerary with an Excellent guide -Damir .The tour started at Split and we visited the different islands during the week by Catamaran..it felt like you really were experiencing Croatian life..the sunshine and great food. I liked Korcula and Hvar especially. I added on an extra day in Dubrovnik to walk the city walls and visit the Lapad area. A great week with fun and friendly company.

Dalmatian Island Hopping
Lovely people, great weather, wine tastings and the different islands. Went late in the season, so quiet and things starting to shut down but didn’t affect the tour. - in fact we got an upgrade in our accommodation which was a nice treat.

Great trip but not enough time in Dubrovnic. I would definitely recommend an extra night or 2 to make the most of this beautiful city.

I had an amazing holiday in such a beautiful country. We were guided by Damier, an excellent guide, who was so passionate and knowledgeable about his country and its diverse history. He also shared his own personal stories of previous conflicts he'd experienced which really helped understand the more recent history of Croatia.
The quality of the accommodation was excellent. The hotel location on the last night was not ideal but this is changing next year I understand.
