Best Things to Do in Durban

The amazing wildlife with stunning and varied scenery. Andrew our guide / driver / cook couldn't do enough for us. This was our first family Explore holiday (although used the company many times pre-kids) and it certainly didn't disappoint. Great travelling with different families. Highly recommend.

We had an amazing trip which I think was a combination of good planning, so that the journeys weren't ever too long for the kids, nice accommodation with swimming pools, that the kids really looked forward to and took advantage of even though it wasn't that warm, and Wern, our fabulous guide! He looked after us, kept us safe, entertained the kids, drove, cooked, sorted all the extra activities and was really knowledgeable. We saw so many animals and birds, in a beautiful country, where everyone we met was really friendly. All in all it added up to a great holiday that we enjoyed as adults and our son enjoyed too as he had others kids to hang out with.

A wonderful holiday with a great group and leader. Kids really enjoyed the game drives (especially the ones on foot) and the Beehive huts.

Trip of a lifetime. We did so much and saw so many animals that it really exceeded our expectations. We also appreciated the exposure to the local culture and the diversity of experiences throughout the trip. Andrew, our guide was always making sure that we were having a good time. His patience answering all our questions was amazing! Always in a good mood and ready to make our trip unforgettable. He's been our best Explore guide so far. Tshukudu reserve was our favourite place. Richard was amazing as a guide and host. And the St Lucia boat ride to watch the whales was totally brilliant. Skigh was our captain, extremely careful and always watching that we were safe. He was very knowledgeable and keen to share all the info. Thank you for a great trip!!

The trips to Kuger and Kosi bay were highlights . Our trip organiser Andrew made the trip - he was really organised throughout and extremely knowledgeable.
