Family Friendly Top Travel Experiences

Each of the destinations was wonderful in a different way. I really appreciated how Trafalgar went out of the way to create experiences for us to interact with families. The natural beauty of Costa Rica is amazing Aunt. All of the guides at the national parks and on the tour were very interesting. Friendly and very excited to tell people about their country. Trafalgar brought the beauty, culture, and a wealth of information to us along with hikes around a volcano, zip lining through the jungle, beach time on the Pacific side and the resorts we stayed at were gorgeous.

Our family loved the choices of hotels, they were all interesting in themselves. My grandsons (2) did get car sick on the bus on the day of the longest ride (6 hr). The long ride turned even longer with the bumper to bumper local traffic (it was a holiday in Costa Rica ). The locals were heading to the beach just like our bus. Our ride was more like 8 1/2hrs. My boys couldn’t stop throwing up. We loved riding in the small boats going into the tributaries off the river in Tortugaro where we saw many jungle animals, it really felt like the jungle in those narrow water ways. Enjoyed the hike up the Arenal volcano but felt that the walking over the bridges could have been delayed a few hours to give us time to recover from the first hike. Both experiences were enjoyed by our family, both young and old. Our tour director was working his phone to check with friends who were also all over the country about how to managed the traffic better. He also used his charm to talk the ZIP LINE company to stay open a little later so we wouldn’t miss zip lining event due to the traffic problem. Victor, our tour guide was an experienced guide who used his skills throughout our trip to eliminate problems that popped up. A young boy sprained his ankle while hiking the volcano. This trip was a 50th anniversary +2 for my husband and I. We brought our entire immediate family with us. We felt the this trip was so memorable that our grandchildren(6 of them) will remember for a life time as well as us adults. My children wanted to know “where we were going next”? That is a very good sign. We were together for 9 days counting travel time and no one was fighting during that time. Amazing!

Our trip to Iceland was absolutely stunning and Charlie the Traveler curated an amazing and adventurous trip for us that kept in mind all of the attractions that were on our list and many other gems this beautiful country has to offer. We hit a few roadblocks with our tours due to weather conditions and volcanic activity in the area, but Charlie The Traveler and his team were on it at every moment and were able to provide us with alternative tours that did not take away from the overall experience. His team is led by individuals that truly cares about your experience. If you need a perfect trip planned then Charlie the Traveler is the way to go. This trip has been absolutely perfect and can’t wait to come back and explore it again.
