"This was the first organized tour my husband and I have ever joined, so we were not sure what to expect , but it turned out to be the best vacation we've ever had. The scenery and food were amazing. We stayed in beautiful hotels. Most of the riding was on paved bike paths so we hardly ever had to deal with car traffic. Our leaders, Andrea and Martin, were funny, informative , and so helpful. We are already planning to go back to Italy with VBT this summer."

At the outset he asked us where we'd like to go and, after a small number of iterations, together we were able able to craft an itinerary that met our budget, touched on much of the places we wanted, and did not have us staying at a different resort each night.   • Exploring an Uninhabited Island: One of the highlights of our trip was venturing to an uninhabited island in the Galapagos. We had the opportunity to explore untouched landscapes, encounter unique wildlife, and truly immerse ourselves in the pristine beauty of nature.
  • Giant Tortoises in the Santa Cruz Highlands: The Santa Cruz Highlands provided us with an incredible experience as we came face-to-face with giant tortoises. These majestic creatures, known for their longevity and impressive size, roamed freely in their natural habitat, allowing us to observe them up close and appreciate their gentle nature.
  • Charles Darwin Station: The Charles Darwin Station offered us a deeper understanding of the Galapagos Islands' unique ecosystem and ongoing conservation efforts. We had the chance to learn about the groundbreaking research conducted there and witness the dedicated work being done to protect the islands' fragile environment.
  • Thrilling Kayaking in Tortuga Bay: The exhilarating kayaking expedition in Tortuga Bay was a highlight that filled us with a sense of adventure. Paddling through the crystal-clear waters, we admired the stunning coastal scenery, encountered marine life, and appreciated the tranquility of this picturesque location.

  • Many trips include excursions that will involve kayaking and canoeing - take advantage for a unique perspective and a chance to see wildlife up close. 
  • Some companies, such as ROW Adventures focus primarily on kayaking and their trips involve camping and outdoors activities.
  • Sea kayaking, can be exhilarating, but exhausting! Make sure you’re up for a day of rigorous rowing and feeling it in your upper arms the next morning.
  • If you must bring a camera, invest in very sturdy, trusted, waterproof gear. You will get wet!
