Best Things to Do in Mekong Delta

A really excellent trip. Interesting and varied itinerary with many highlights, although Hoi An, including the cookery class, and the Hạ Long Bay cruise are worthy of special mention. We - myself, my wife, our daughter and her partner - were expecting a group of up to 16.......it was just the 4 of us, so a private tour and our tour guide - Long - was just absolutely brilliant, not only with the daytime excursions, but recommending to us/taking us to/joining us at so many really good restaurants, introducing us to many culinary local pleasures. Thank you so much, Long!

Very well organised trip. Trip was full on as advertised and packed a lot in with all the major tourist sites covered. Local guide with us for the whole trip was excellent and made sure everyone was happy. Loved Halong bay and HoiAn. Although it seems expensive at the start of the trip a "tip kitty" is collected per person which actually is perfect as the guide payed all the tips throughout from this (and provided an inventory at the end!) which is so much more convenient.
The only negative side - I feel that the two train journeys are too much as they are both very long (14 - 16 hours) and quite exhausting. I would have preferred just one train journey and the second one by plane.

It was such a pleasure to work with Annie from start to finish. Annie worked patiently with my very particular husband for a good month to plan a 19 day trip. (I think they bonded) We visited Hong Kong, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam. EVERY luxury hotel was just over the top beautiful. We took airplanes, 2 cruise boats, and a sea airplane to visit each country. There was always a knowledgeable and interesting English speaking guide to pick us up. She planned interesting tours and gave us plenty of leisure time. She also texted us everyday to see how we were doing! At one stop we wanted to change a tour planned for another and she managed to do that as well......Annie actually met us in Hanoi and we enjoyed a dinner together at one of her favorite restaurants, then took me shopping for a silk dress....really! Thank you Annie for the best trip ever. I will highly recommend you and Exotic Voyages.

Had good interaction with the Explore team when booking my trip. There were a few issues with transfers but Explore resolved quickly when we contacted them. Great opportunity to view a very different part of the world and experience different cultures. The itinerary has lots to see so you need to be able to rise early to go an see the sites. Saw so many lovely temples and had great fun in the tuk tuks!
