An enthusiastic world traveler, Meredith fell in love with travel at age eight during a two week road trip through the Southern US. Her fascination with foreign cultures grew as she studied French, Italian, and Mandarin in school and later traveled as much as possible while studying abroad in Rome.
She still likes to rent a car and hit the road, with more recent road trips through Wales and Portugal, and loves adventure travel and cities alike. Some top experiences have been boating down the Amazon in Peru, hiking around glaciers in Iceland, exploring the Atacama and Gobi Deserts, cave swimming in Belize, and visiting favorite cities like Stockholm, London, Hong Kong and Cartagena.
Impossible to pick! Two of the more unusual trips stand out: traversing the wide open expanses of Mongolia by horseback, foot, Jeep, etc. and exploring Macedonia, particularly the ancient and stunning Lake Ohrid.
