80 trips to Naples tours from 39 tour companies. 469 reviews. 4.6/5 avg rating.
The pizza haven of Naples has for years been a less traveled to "off the beaten track" hidden secret of Italy, despite being the third largest municipality in the country. Now becoming much more popular, it's easy to see why. The coastal city is charming, with countless notable historical sites, a popular art and theater scene, and of course, there's the food.

Travel Style Travel Style Relaxed A lot of free time, with very few inclusions. Ideal for independent and/or low-key travelers and cruisers.
Full on For those looking to maximize their sight seeing time. You thrive on a packed day’s schedule from 8 am to 6pm, with some (but limited) free time. Most activities and meals included.
Mixed You will have solid amounts of both free time and structured time with some activities and meals included.

Trip Type Trip Type Group Tour Groups are between 25-60 people, typically ~30-40. Usually there will be many opportunities to split off and enjoy meals and excursions in smaller groups. This is the most economical way to travel, saving up to 40% versus booking the same itinerary yourself.
Small Group Tour Small groups are usually defined as between 10 and 24 travelers, often less. If you're the kind of person who enjoys more intimate experiences and personal service this is a good choice. All else being equal you will pay a premium for this style vs a larger group tour.
River Cruise These vessels are smaller than most ocean cruisers, limiting which amenties are available. Passenger counts can vary. One of the biggest advantages of a river cruise is the ability to dock at smaller ports and local villages.
Small Ship Cruise Small ship cruises usually have a max passenger count of 500. The primary purpose of these trips is to spend time off the vessel in local ports (e.g. Mediterranean) or experiencing nature (e.g Galapagos or Antarctica). Cabins can vary from budget to luxury.
Private Guided Private tours give you the undivided attention of a guide, and often involve special access to sites and unique experiences not available to larger groups. This is a great option for families, couples, and small friend groups. Expect to pay a bit more for the extra service.
Self Guided / Independent Tour A travel company plans your itinerary and arranges all the logistics including lodging, local activities, and transportantion. You have the flexibility of a solo trip while still getting the convience and time savings of expert planning. Get 90% of the benefits of a tour, without a guide.
Vacation / Holiday Package Similar to a self guided tour, this usually involves a home base, such as a hotel or resort, with packaged activities and day tours as a part of the stay.
Large Ship Cruise This is the "floating city" experience, with multiple ways to enjoy your vacation aboard the ship as much as on land. Ships are multiple floors, provide several activities, culinary, and shopping options. They often make fewer stops and have less time available for shore excursions.

Itinerary Focus

Lodging Level Lodging Level Camping Typically involves most nights sleeping in tents (sometimes permanent tented sites) or in rustic cabins and lodges.
Basic - 2 star You'll stay in no-frills, but clean and comfortable, hotels or guesthouses. A 'Basic' trip might also involve a few nights of camping.
Value - 3 star Mid-range budget with accommodations ranging from comfortable lodges, guesthouses, and homestays to three star hotels.
Premium - 4 star 3 to 4 star western hotel equivalents. While not all lodging will be 'luxury' they will be quite comfortable by western standards.
Luxury - 5 star The highest level of comfort and service. All accomodations are in four or five star hotels, boutique lodges or high-end homestays.

I didn’t know what to expect on a group trip, but this ended up being one of the best vacations we’ve ever been on! Being an intense planner, I had a hard time giving the reins away, but it was the best decision I’ve ever made. Annie truly found the best of the best in Italy! We felt like we were on a luxury, private vacation that was perfectly customized for us! The tours, the food, the accommodations, while booked for the group, truly felt personalized, making the experience absolutely magical and so much fun! Not to mention, it was a huge value! Being in finance, I 'ran the number'. For accommodations, daily transportation, daily meals, and excursions, I thought the cost made sense. What I didn't factor in was the intimate experience. We ate amazing meals in local's private homes! Our tours were limited to our group and we we're shuffled into tour buses but privately chartered luxury vans to travel between destinations. It's hard to vacation without these amenities these days, I hope The Table Less Traveled continues to offer a new tour yearly, or else my vacations will be limited. :)

We loved the beautiful surroundings, our location, the beach!, Loved being in a smaller village rather than in one of the more populated tourist locations on the coast. All of the good print information we got at orientation around activities and tours. I neglected so say how helpful Andi was during the 6 months prior to our trip. We emailed on a regular basis and she was always prompt in getting back to me and cut our planning time down considerably. So helpful!

A great trip which included the best highlights of the AC.
Full days so there was no time to be bored!
The walk of the Gods...an amazing experience and though it was 6 hours, the time flew and the scenery was spectacular. Positano was a nice finishing point.

Knowledgeable and well versed on the area.

Use your free evening to get out of Bomerano and perhaps have dinner in Amalfi, which has a bus sevice.
Though the hotel was fab and food perfect, Bomerano is not a typical Amalfi town and I feel.that people should be encouraged to have a break away from one night. There was no encouragement to move from the hotel and we were presented with a hotel menu the night before rather than alternative options offered
I choose Amalfi and had a lovely evening with a chance to soak up the lights of this little town at night.

    See above.
The hotel staff were incredible and the chefs cooked with us on 2 different nights. A beautiful family run hotel who facilitated everyone's dietary requirements and looked after us very well.

Just back from this trip and left wanting to return. Hotel serves very good food and the staff really look after you. Each day is very different and full leaving very little time to sit by the small pool before dinner. You will see all there is too see on the Amalfi Coast which is absolutely stunning. I was with a great bunch of people.
Visiting Herculaneum, Ravello, Pompeii, Path of the Gods, walking up last part of Vesuvius and Naples. I intended not to visit Naples, however, I was pleased I did as Eduardo took the group to fabulous places especially a special restaurant for lunch.

Eduardo is very knowledgable and seems to know everyone along the Amalfi Coast! He arranges all the transport at the right time to suit each day. He took eight of us to Pompeii on the free day and arranged a guide.

The trip is full but you see so much so just enjoy every moment. You do need walking poles for Vesuvius and especially path of the gods. I did the 700 steps which was hard in the heat but would recommend as fabulous views. Positano is wonderful too especially the ice cream after walk!

Recommend you book trip. I wish I had added on a week in Sicily.
