Best Things to Do in Ouarzazate

Explore didn’t disappoint. Such a well organised & active trip for my teenage son & I. Great small group of 11 - 6 like-minded adults & 5 kids aged 9-15 yrs.

We have used Explore for a couple of family type trips now and as a single Mum who is ‘time poor’, working full/time the EXPLORE option is phenomenal.

Value for money, especially as lots of meals included when you leave the urban areas. Lots of activities to keep everyone happy but sufficient downtime & breaks to satisfy all needs & abilities.

Our guide Mohamed was excellent & with us all the time. As single Mammy it’s a great comfort having the local support who can help with answering questions, language barriers & cultural differences.

Food & opportunities to get water were plentiful. We visited Morocco during Ramadan so we were mindful about getting dinner 7.30/8pm after our guide/locals/restaurants had a chance to break their fast first.

No one got food poisoning- a testament to the good advice & carefully prepared food/restaurant choices by Mohamed & team.

Educational beyond any guidebook especially staying in mountains & desert. Learning about history, geography, religion, nature everyday.

21km cycle was tough but most of the group completed but the support van helped with casualties.

Fantastic trip, Fantastic tour leader and extremely well organised tour.
Each day had multiple highlights and varied from day to day eg camel riding in the desert the day after visiting the medical in Fes.

This holiday was amazing!! With teenage boys, we went for the fun action-packed itinerary and we were not disappointed - it offered so many activities and experiences that every day felt like a new adventure. Riding mules, cycling & hiking, camping in the desert – just wonderful! But what really surpassed our expectations of holidaying in this way (our first Explore trip) was just how fascinating it was to learn about a country through a local guide. Mohammed, our guide, was excellent - we really couldn’t have asked for a more knowledgeable, patient and kind leader. It was just the best learning experience for the kids - so far removed from a classroom – to find out about history, geography, nature, culture and religion (really interesting to visit during Ramadan) in such an engaging way…now inspired to go and book another holiday and have some more adventures!

A fascinating and fun holiday! Can’t recommend it highly enough.

Camel riding and camp

This was my first Explore trip and I would highly recommend the experience and company. We had a lovely group and a wonderful trip leader Ibrahim who was knowledgeable and keen to share aspects of his home country. Seeing the sunset and sunrise in the Sahara Desert followed by leaving our desert camp by camel caravan was definitely the highlight!

The tour leader was really kind, knowledgeable and thoughtful. He really helped us have a great time. We never would have seen all the places we did without this tour as we crammed in visits to so many different places.
