What travelers are saying

"This trip is unbelievably fantastic. Two of the best rides of my life, were on this tour. The guides were very good and this was just the start, when we met them, at the hotel in Cortina. Cortina was the site of the 1956 Olympics, and is a small pretty village. Nothing was open the two nights we were there, so probably bad timing. Hotel was a typical ski village hotel, good Italian/German food, and very comfortable. Second day of biking was up an old railroad spur that is now a ski trail about 15-20 K up to a mountain pass called Cimabanche Pass, which is beautiful. We rode up in a snow storm, then rain, then finally clear skies. This was the number two best ride of my life. Starting out from the hotel in Cortina, up the old spur, through single track bike trails, past babbling brooks, up to this fabulous mountain pass. This is now where the fun starts. Mostly downhill on paved roads very little traffic, at good speeds, through the most spectacular valleys you would ever see on a bike ride. Breathtaking. It had to end back at the hotel for a big dinner. The best ride of my life was the last biking day out of Merano. We were bused up 1500 K, about 85-90 miles to Lake Resia, high up in the Dolomites, then rode around the lake, down, back to Merano. High mountain peaks, many valleys, small towns, many grape growing farms, scenery, the best, and cool brisk weather. This was truly a great bike tour, one I will never forget. The trip is rated easy, but maybe easy/moderate is closer. The Hotel in Merano is excellent, middle of old town, modern, has a thermal bath, rooms were very good. The town of Merano is a must see if in the area, small, beneath the high mountains of the Dolomites, good restaurants, lots of tourists."

What travelers are saying

"A really difficult company to communicate with, slow to respond and not able to accept accountability for poor service. Used Tee Travel in Spain which was even worse. Not able to organize support or assistance and harassed me about luggage that wasn't mine. There were other walkers who appeared to have more support and assistance from their travel providers. Definitely avoid this company as overpriced and no actual service."

What travelers are saying

"A year ago my family and myself took a sailing trip to the Greek Islands. We hired a skipper named Reinhard Fallbacher (Ray) for the trip based on a recommendation from a respected and dear friend but also based on his reputation and experience as an Edelweiss Tours team member. Regretfully, although the trip itself was very good and under the most friendly and cordial environments, this man was not accountable for the cash advances we made for the trip. Firstly, he never gave us an account (of any kind) of the trip’s expenses in terms of our deposit, as agreed upon. Secondly, he never returned the money that we were owed from our deposit (upwards of 1,500-2,000 euros). Thirdly, and perhaps worse of all, despite our many friendly and amicable attempts of sorting this matter out through email, WhatsApp texts and even phone calls, Ray has avoided for more than a year. I sincerely wish I wouldn’t have to involve Edelweiss Tours in this situation but I thought, both the company and fellow adventure seekers like myself, should be aware of this person’s behavior. I believe the tourism industry is based on trust and reputation and I felt compelled to convey this situation to others. Despite me and my family being extremely friendly, this man betrayed our trust and our friendship. Rodrigo Gonzalez Mexico City"

What travelers are saying

"Second time I've done it & really enjoy it. I think my main suggestion though - think a few have mentioned it - is the start, it's just a massive group of people and with it being narrow in places it's a bit of a free-for-all. Perhaps organise it in waves going a couple minutes apart just so it's a bit more spread out at the start."

What travelers are saying

"Paris Toujours is a top notch travel agency for France! Highly recommended! They listened to what we wanted to do traveling with three young adult kids with different interests and were able to plan a great mix of tours, museums, and strolls as well as enough free time. Every detail was taken care of and perfectly executed. I highly recommend a private boat tour of the Seine with a fabulous French meal of wine, cheese, bread etc. You will be in good hands with Paris Toujours!"

Paris Tour Selection Trips

  • In Paris, it's possible to spend weeks discovering new places to see. However you can comfortably see the major sights on a 4 to 6 day stay. Many tours of France include a few days in Paris, and it's often possible to arrange to stay longer after your tour ends.
  • The French are famously a bit frosty, especially when it comes to their language. But contrary to popular belief, in most cases, if you try and are earnest about being respectful of the French language, they will appreciate it.
  • Don't try to see all of the Lourve in one day, or even one trip. You'll exhaust yourself! Your tour guide will know the good times to go to avoid long lines, and will be able to navigate the museum at a moderately quick pace - allowing you to return home having seen the major works on display.
  • Paris is a walkng city! Never pass up the opportunity to take a walking tour or simply stroll the idyllic streets for an afternoon. Those with limited mobility - such as wheelchair travelers, or older travelers for whom walking is difficult - beware. The city is beautiful and charming, due to the cobblestoned streets - and cobblestones can be very uncomfortable to walk on even for short distances.
