The destinations chosen are smart and live up to the promise that these are the country's treasures. Our guide was brilliant - she knew well the backstory of the locations and the significance of the art and architecture. Each part of the tour was a lesson in history, presented with excitement and passion. Her adoration of the history and culture of her countrymen was palpable and infectious, and gave the touring experience much added value.

Well planned, organized, balanced, affordable, and utterly enjoyable. Very highly recommended.

Cultural, wine drinking and a very good look into this rather unrecognized
and friendly European country.
Tasting Port wine in the cellars of Mr Geo Sandeman. You also can visit the
vineyards further up the River Douro from where the grapes originate. The big
Oak barrels are still in use.
The whole experience was inspiring and not tacky. Very definitely worth a
visit.


She was a very nice, good looking, professional and a definitely Portuguese
girl. Her English was not brilliant but charmingly understandable and she did
a very difficult job. Although we were a group of only 15 persons I think
that we caused problems for her. Aloof at first in the sort of aloofness that
one sees in Portuguese/Spanish films, she and I became friends!


No serious hazards that you might encounter but do remember that they are
Portuguese and they like the sound of their language. It is their country
and we are visitors. Try not be too loud when speaking in your own language.

We recently returned from an Exodus trip to Portugal and were extremely happy
with the experience! The trip was well organized and offered a great
variety of activities and sites - from rural to urban, nature and history.
The pace was perfect and everyone's needs were taken in to consideration
Staying at the local guesthouses was the highlight of our trip - the
accommodation was superb and our local hosts were so warm and welcoming and
the food was delicious!


We couldn't have asked for a better group leader! He was extremely
knowledgeable, professional, well organized, flexible and had a great sense
of humour! We learned so much from him and really felt that we were so well
taken care of


Beware of pickpocketers!


We have never participated in this type of group travel before so weren't
sure what to expect but we were absolutely delighted with this experience and
would highly recommend it!

Love the idea of travelling and mingling with locals, restaurant recommendations and having a team leader who takes the worry out of transport arrangements

The trip was very interesting due to the diversity of destinations._x000D_
Everything ran very smoothly each day due to good organization and excellent communication from Nestor our leader.WE knew what was expected of us , when and why ....which makes for a win, win, situation for everyone._x000D_

Intrepid took us to places we would never have found on our own or if we had tried, it would have taken much more time. This was a time efficient way to have a number of wonderful travel experiences.
