Over all our entire trip to Chile and Argentina was really wonderful. February 2017

Argentina Highlights 12 Days

"We are back home in Albuquerque. A day later than we planned due to a malfunction on a plane with American Airlines in Miami. All is good, we are happy to be home.
Iguazu was absolutely beautiful and amazing. The tour guide Adrian and his driver Daniel were very good. Adrian was very informative, attentive and professional, nice guy. The top 4 highlights for us were Iguazu Falls, Perrito Moreno in El Calafate and Torres del Paine in Chile and of course spending quality time with you in Buenos Aires, your insight and knowledge is tremendous.
Many other things were really nice too but those were are top four. We loved the Tango show and the next day we ventured out using the subway visiting Recoleta and the Botanical gardens.
We wanted to mention that we did not get to the Holiday Inn till midnight although our flight from Iguazu Falls landed at airport at 10 pm, after luggage was picked up we departed about 10:30 for Holiday Inn, we do not know if this is the norm (1 ½ hours) . I think the driver got lost, not sure.
So now we are concerned because we have 2 ½ hours to sleep so we can get picked up at 3am. We asked the driver. If his company was going to pick us up at 3am and he said “yes but another person”. We asked him if we could get picked up later , maybe 3:30 pm or 4 pm so we can sleep a little more, we were so tired after being at Iguazu Falls all day walking, heat and humidity and flight. He called someone and they told him that they could not change the time, so we had stay with the 3 am pick up.
We now realized the airport was only less than 10 minutes away. So we got to International Airport and had a lot waiting time for our 6am flight. It would have been better if we could have a little more time to sleep. Maybe a 4am pick up would have been better.
Over all our entire trip to Chile and Argentina was really wonderful. Take Care, Becca and Joe

Classic Patagonia Treks August 2016

Classic Patagonia Treks

The breath taking landscapes/views, whether you were sitting in the bus or hiking.
Don’t forget to look up!
Seeing Las Torres from a distance as we were driving into Chile and then actually getting to the base . It was same feeling when I saw and climbed to the base of Mount Fitzroy.

Xavier was everything that you want in a guide and more. He was knowledgeable, organised, very friendly, accommodating, possibility the most patient and considerate guide I have met!
Our other guides, Paula and Sebastian, were equally excellent.

The trip notes are confusing, as my fellow hikers have suggested,
- Activity Level of 5 is very valid and nothing to do the accommodation nor the fact that you need to carry you stuff for a few days as suggested by the guy I spoke to in Sales.
- you definitely need a bigger pack, max 40L, rather than a day pack
- you will have to carry kit in your pack for all weathers so layer up. We had good weather but it did include sunshine, rain, snow and lots of wind
- Essentials to pack, definitely bring a pair of flipflops/jandles/tongs/crocks, pain killers, dry bags
- ATMs are rare so load-up with dollars

Don't be put of my the long hikes, the views are so worth the effort.
At the end of the hike there is usually a cold beer or nice glass of wine to look forward.

Patagonia is really incredible! December 2015

Incredible Patagonia (& Buenos Aires)

It was an amazing trip. Olga, our tour director was fantastic . She knows thecountry very well - both Chile and Argentina. The only part of the trip that I think needs to be looked at is the last day of the tour - the coming back to the U.S. That full day was wasted. We were in the lobby of the hotel from the check out time of 11am until 7pm when the bus took us to the airport for the 11pm flight. But over all, that tour is awesome. Patagonia is one of my favorite. Read more
