Travel Style Travel Style Relaxed A lot of free time, with very few inclusions. Ideal for independent and/or low-key travelers and cruisers.
Full on For those looking to maximize their sight seeing time. You thrive on a packed day’s schedule from 8 am to 6pm, with some (but limited) free time. Most activities and meals included.
Mixed You will have solid amounts of both free time and structured time with some activities and meals included.

Trip Type Trip Type Group Tour Groups are between 25-60 people, typically ~30-40. Usually there will be many opportunities to split off and enjoy meals and excursions in smaller groups. This is the most economical way to travel, saving up to 40% versus booking the same itinerary yourself.
Small Group Tour Small groups are usually defined as between 10 and 24 travelers, often less. If you're the kind of person who enjoys more intimate experiences and personal service this is a good choice. All else being equal you will pay a premium for this style vs a larger group tour.
River Cruise These vessels are smaller than most ocean cruisers, limiting which amenties are available. Passenger counts can vary. One of the biggest advantages of a river cruise is the ability to dock at smaller ports and local villages.
Small Ship Cruise Small ship cruises usually have a max passenger count of 500. The primary purpose of these trips is to spend time off the vessel in local ports (e.g. Mediterranean) or experiencing nature (e.g Galapagos or Antarctica). Cabins can vary from budget to luxury.
Private Guided Private tours give you the undivided attention of a guide, and often involve special access to sites and unique experiences not available to larger groups. This is a great option for families, couples, and small friend groups. Expect to pay a bit more for the extra service.
Self Guided / Independent Tour A travel company plans your itinerary and arranges all the logistics including lodging, local activities, and transportantion. You have the flexibility of a solo trip while still getting the convience and time savings of expert planning. Get 90% of the benefits of a tour, without a guide.
Vacation / Holiday Package Similar to a self guided tour, this usually involves a home base, such as a hotel or resort, with packaged activities and day tours as a part of the stay.
Large Ship Cruise This is the "floating city" experience, with multiple ways to enjoy your vacation aboard the ship as much as on land. Ships are multiple floors, provide several activities, culinary, and shopping options. They often make fewer stops and have less time available for shore excursions.

Itinerary Focus

Lodging Level Lodging Level Camping Typically involves most nights sleeping in tents (sometimes permanent tented sites) or in rustic cabins and lodges.
Basic - 2 star You'll stay in no-frills, but clean and comfortable, hotels or guesthouses. A 'Basic' trip might also involve a few nights of camping.
Value - 3 star Mid-range budget with accommodations ranging from comfortable lodges, guesthouses, and homestays to three star hotels.
Premium - 4 star 3 to 4 star western hotel equivalents. While not all lodging will be 'luxury' they will be quite comfortable by western standards.
Luxury - 5 star The highest level of comfort and service. All accomodations are in four or five star hotels, boutique lodges or high-end homestays.

Did a long break trip (or fall break) with Euroadventures on their "Best of the East" adventure. I had always wanted to travel to the destinations (especially Prague, Krakow & Budapest) and the trip and organization did not disappoint. Everything really was top notch from the itinerary and pace of the trip to the accommodations to the trip leader. By the end of the trip our group went from strangers (there were some traveling together as groups of friends) to all great friends. Highly recommend this trip, especially for those looking for something slightly off the beaten path (especially Krakow) and this company.

An excellent introduction to the countries visited.
The tour leader, Peter, plying and explaining the flute.

Very pleasant knowledgeable man, with a good sense of humour.

No, everything was as expected. In my case

Not a critiscm but a personal choice. I like to make early morning tea, only
2 hotels had a kettle and 2 had coffee machines in the rooms, so a kettle
could be handy.

The tour ran Saturday to Sunday, I think an extra day would be useful,
possibly in Vienna or a small place not easily accesible by 'weekend flights'

I will deal with the 'but' first. This is definitely not a 1; leisurely;
more a 2, moderate. The distances to walk are comparatively large and the
surfaces (cobblestones mainly) are not conducive to fast walking even if you
can, and, of course, as always, the speed of the group is governed by the
speed of the slowest person.
That said, it's a wonderful introduction to the cities and towns visited,
their history and how their infrastructure works. The Tatra mountains are
beautiful and welcome break. I will definitely go back to most of the cities.
Each has a feel and charm of its own and, except Vienna, are cheap (for a
Londoner) to stay, eat and travel in. This trip is great if you want to get a
feel for central Europe; you see loads albeit the pace and itinerary don't
allow time to dwell and ponder what you are looking at. You are in a region
of wonderful and gory history and there are massive amounts to take in.
No particular inspirational moment, but the feel of the central market area
in Krakow and the salt mines do stand out.

Peter our guide was brilliantly knowledgeable (much more than the usual
excellent Exodus guides), very personable, was always there to resolve the
inevitable issues but not firm enough on timing leading to people wandering
off to the shops etc. thus delaying the group.

Take a couple of good comfortable walking shoes; there's a lot of it, and a
good water bottle. The tap water is fine and freely available.

Its difficult to work out what cash you'll need; and there are several
currencies. If you travel abroad check out the right debit card with no
commissions and commercial rates and credit card for the same reasons. There
are lots of ATMs and that way you can pull cash as you need it (always use a
'bank' atm to avoid the 3rd party charges) and decline 'their' exchange rate;
and/or use your CC where you can (charged in local currency). It'll save you
sizeable amounts and not leave you with unnecessary cash you have to swap
around.

This was my second Exodus trip and it was great as the first one. Dana was
delightful, always willing to assist you with any request. She was assisted
by Lubos. A very good driver and mechanic, always with a smile in his face.
We started the trip in the busy city of Prague , after a few days in the city
I was so happy to get away. We got to the lovely town of Cesky Krumlov, it
was a very relaxing day. After the first day the cycling got more
challenging, we cycle through the hilly countryside. It was beautiful but
really hilly. I’m not that good at hills since I lived in “FLAT”
Florida.
All the cities we stop in the Czech Republic were memorable; Trebon, Telc,
Mikulov. I will love to visit them again. The tour of the winery in Mikulov,
so much fun. The Czech Republic beer and ice cream unforgettable.
The cycling tour of the city of Vienna is a most. And in the afternoon go and
jump in the Danube.
The ride from Vienna to Bratislava was beautiful, a very long relaxing
ride. Then we’re in Hungary, time go so fast. Finally the magnificent city
of Budapest. Just AMAZING!
On day six on our way from Telc to Mikulov (a very hot day) we stop in a
small river and Dana and some of us jumped in the water. It was so hot that
we didn’t care. It was fun...

Dana was excellent. Since she was the only leader in our group she was always
making sure that everybody was accounted for.

Just enjoy your trip.

Almost all the riders had issues with the bikes, chains coming out. Maybe the
Company should consider new bikes.

First few days of cycling are quite difficult as there are a lot of hills.
For the rest of the trip the cycling is mostly very easy and flat. You will
visit 4 countries and have to get used to managing 3 currencies.
Food is fresh and portions are big. Bratislava is by far the smallest capital
on the trip.
Cycling from the hotel in Vienna directly to the hotel in Bratislava in a
day. Not difficult but very statisfying.

If you want to see Prague go a few days early, as there is not really anytime
to sight see on the trip. There are a lot of hills on the first few days.
Even though you will say in 3 and 4 start hotels they tend not to have any
soap or shampoo in the rooms.

This was my first Exodus trip and wasn’t sure what to expect. From the
first day of arrival the Exodus team Peter and Danke were exceptional in
every aspect of the planning, logistics and guidance through the trip. The
equipment (cycles) and were high quality and fit for a dual on and off road
experience. I’m so impressed by the trip and the support that I have plans
for two further in the next 18 months. A truly inspiring experience.
The cohesiveness of the guides and our group on tough days where the weather
was poor and the terrain challenging. We all stayed together.

Peter was exceptional in terms of his support, knowledge of all locations and
accessibility for all group members for the slightest thing. He really showed
exceptional professionalism and commitment throughout the tour.

Feel free to take your own seats and pedals as that’s where you spend most

check the temperature ranges to ensure you have suitable clothing to
accommodate those changes.
