Solo Travel, Traveling as a female

Sarah has always been a traveler, one who comes up with schemes, adventures and ideas that allow her to travel near and far. She loves the way that travel opens her perspective and connection to others and the world. Aside from writing, you can find her teaching ESL, Spanish and Improv to international and local communities. 

Traveling and wanderlust began for Sarah when she was 17 and lived in Chile on foreign exchange for 6 months. There, she fell in love with Spanish, which has been a part of her passion and path ever since. 

Since then, she has traveled extensively through South America and other Spanish and Portuguese speaking countries. She loves to fuse her passion for languages with connecting with local communities. 

Travel is so important to Sarah that she has taken 3 extended solo trips to India/Thailand, Spain/Portugal and Brazil. She has also traveled with friends, family and groups to Western Europe, Nepal, Israel and various countries in South America. Travel is a consistent passion of hers and she is happy to combine it with her love of writing.

Each trip has had life-changing moments and experiences. My solo trip to Brazil for 1 month in Bahia fills my heart with joy even now. I was able to dive deep into a cultural center of Brazil, practice my Portuguese with a host family and connect with locals and international travelers from around the world. Overall, it was enriching and fun! I plan to return to Brazil on a future trip.

My next trip is going to be to New Zealand. I'm going to do a bike tour there and also connect with locals!
