Thailand Tour Selection Trips
- Credit cards are accepted in larger stores, but smaller vendors may not accept them because of the fees. The largest bill is 1,000 baht (about $30), which is difficult to break in most smaller stores. The 20 baht and 100 baht bills are the most common.
- Remember to haggle! Anytime a price isn’t displayed there’s a very good chance it’s negotiable.
- Where possible, try to work with operators that employ locals. This helps to keep money in the local communities you visit.
- Many take Thailand trips eager to see elephants and tigers. Be cautious about the tours you book - some mistreat these animals in the name of tourism. Avoid tours that offer posing with wild animals and riding.
