Serendipitous experiences typify some of my most memorable travel moments. Genetically inclined to explore the world, Theresa enjoys both travel that requires physical effort as well as experiences that allow relaxation without. Every trip is an adventure for her and she has been lucky to have visited 49 of the US states, many Mexican states and Canadian provinces, much of Europe and smatterings of other destinations on six of the seven continents. Hailing from the Midwest, she understands that every place has its own story worth telling.

Theresa became an accidental cruiser after she hesitantly agreed to sail the South Pacific. Hooked since that fateful day, she has sailed on big and small ships around 6 continents. She has organized and led trips for teenagers and adults, but her most memorable are with the teenagers on month-long bicycle tours in Mexico and New Zealand and volunteering in Mexico.

To put it simply: Theresa loves to travel.

Favorite travel number: 3377 - the  number of miles Theresa bicycled across the US and Canada on her transcontinental adventure.

What keeps Theresa awake at night plotting trips: Tikal, Copan, Antarctica and those countries I have yet to see contribute to my insomnolence.

Most brag-worthy trip: Leading a group of teenagers on a month long self-contained bicycling tour from San Diego to Cabo San Lucas. Or is it hiking the Inca Trail - or cycling across the US? or...?

Choosing a favorite is like picking a favorite child. I've been lucky to have fond memories of all of my travels - even those with less than ideal circumstances.
