Who am I?

I am Markus Daniel Schreiner and of German origin. I came to Africa in 2005 and worked as a Mobile Safari Translator at Bush Ways Safaris in Botswana. I had with Botoka "Betta" Kgari and Matengu Gabriel Mabuta very good teachers. They were my guides on many safaris and while translating English - German - English I learnt a lot about the flora and fauna in Northern and Central Botswana. Further more we had the yearly guides training in Bush Ways. Since January 2007 I live in Livingstone and in 2011 I started guiding in Zambia as a freelance guide with Bundu Adventures / Adventure Purists. Over the years I developed a keen interest in birds. Seeing the first flowers after a long dry season or just watching elephants drinking at a waterhole is still something special for me.

Who is Zamsato?

Zamsato began in September 2007. The start was not easy at all. We wanted to become a mobile safari operator. Our name "Zamsato" stands for Zambia Safaris & Adventure Tours. We had to put this idea aside for the moment because to get all the required licenses turned out to be a major challenge. But we had to generate some income therefor we decided to start dealing in cement. Zamsato - Baumarkt is operating from a warehouse next to the railway station in Livingstone.

We have not forgotten our original plans. Zamsato - Zambia Safaris & Adventure Tours is here. We are based in Livingstone - the Tourist Capital of Zambia and home of the mighty Victoria Falls. We love to show you not only Zambia - the land of magnificent waterfalls, superb wildlife, rich culture and action adventures we will take you further. We have done our first very own safari "Expedition Shoebill" in July 2013 and more safaris followed in 2014. 2015 and2016 was mainly marketing. We see the fruits of the efforts now. We are running a set of safaris with fixed departure dates and itineraries and a number of private safaris in 2017. We are represented on SafariBookings.com, the largest online marketplace for African safari holidays. We are a member of Africa Tour Operators and we are listed on Safarisource.
