Had a good time!5.0 October 2015
Just come back from my amazing 34 day Zanzibar to Cape Town trip. It flew past - I had such a good time. Sam and Julius, my trip leader and driver, were awesome, really helpful and funny and had lots of interesting stories to tell. Had a great group too and have so many fantastic memories. From the white sands of Zanzibar, the smiling, waving children of Malawi, walking with lions and swimming at the top of Victoria Falls, gliding through the reeds of the Okovango Delta in a mokoro, elephants wandering through the campsite, seeing all the wildlife drinking from the watering hole at Etosha, skydiving over the Namibia dunes in Swakopmund, climbing up Dune 45 through the mist only for it to clear with the sunrise to going up to the top of Table Mountain and feeling on top of the world in Cape Town. Really want to go back and I've only been home a day. If you are hesitating about booking - just go for it! I loved every second, well maybe not taking down tents at 5am but practically every second! Acacia are a really good company, our truck seemed so much nicer than some others who didn't even have lockers inside the truck. I will be back to do the Kenya to Zanzibar leg of the trip at some point in the future and know I won't even bother looking at another company to do the trip!Read more

Based in London, Acacia Africa knows the continent from top to bottom -- Cairo to Cape Town and many points in between, including Kilimanjaro treks and Victoria Falls. They've been in business for 17 years and remain devoted to African tours.
What Makes Them Stand Out?
One size doesn't fit all here. Acacia divides its groups and traveling styles into several different categories. Overlanding tours go off the beaten track in trucks and group members help out with chores. Accommodated Overland tours are similar but the lodgings are nicer than regular tent camping -- safari lodges, hotels, or tented camps -- offering some nightly relaxation with daily adventures.
Whereas their small group tours are geared toward couples, singles or anyone who wants to have more flexibility than when traveling with a larger group; lodging may be more secluded or rustic. Acacia also offers short safaris and treks if you're combining their tours with others. The company has a voluntourism program as well, which combines sightseeing with volunteering in local communities.
Who Travels With Them?
They have something for everyone, if you’re seeking an affordable, exciting trip. Typically their Overland Tours are well suited to 18-39 year olds, and involve a bit of roughing it. Their small group tours and safaris are well suited to many ages and physical levels.
Where Do They Operate?
Acacia Africa operate tours all over Africa, from country specific safaris to extended Overland Tours, which travel through multiple African countries.
Why Travel With Them?
Acacia Africa offers affordable options for those who like to rough it to nicer options for those seeking a bit more comfort, wherever you may choose to go in Africa. They have established a solid reputation for their professionalism and knowledge of the area - the perfect introduction to Africa.
