My family recently returned from a trip to the Galapagos Islands and Quito ("Darwin's Islands") - everything went off without a hitch and all went ever more smoothly than I expected. Galapagos was extraordinary and magical, and all of the guides (except for one on one day who was "fine") were passionate and knowledgeable about what they did and friendly. Our hotels were all great (two were outstanding, one was "fine," and one was good) and we loved the different activities in which we engaged. We were lucky enough to have only five people in our core group (my family of three and a Brittish couple with whom we hit it off) for much of our time and activities, despite the fact that we went during a usually busy time. We arranged for a half day tour of the equator and Quito, before we went to Galapagos, and our terrific guide, Leonardo, took us around for about 7+ hours. His tour made us fans of Quito and in hindsight, I wish I had planned for yet another day on the mainland. Thanks to Kate, who ended up being my Adventure Life contact for the last few months prior to my trip. She was very helpful and answered my incessant questions, including providing me with Quito restaurant recommendations.

I went on a tour sponsored by Adventure-life of 7 days to include Quito, Otovalo, Cuchacoche and the Galapagos. Ecuador.
The tour included stays in Quito and on a hacienda in Otovalo. A trip to the Otovalan market place. This was all topped off by 5 days on the Legend ship with many exciting dingy rides to several islands in the Galapagos. The natural splendor and the enchantment of the Galapagos was a fantastic treat. This was all made special by the excellent guide whose knowledge of the fauna and history was educational and marvelous. The experience was well worth the time and expense.
The experience had tremendous emotional and intellectual impact on me hopefully for sometime into the future.
Oh by the way the food was delicious and wholesome.

We recently returned from an 11 day trip to Costa Rica. We made all arrangement through Adventure Life. The worked with our dates and booked everything for us - hotels, transportation and tours. It all went exactly according to our itinerary, absolutely no issues. In fact they booked tours for us, like zip lining and white water rafting, that I probably would not have booked on my own , but we went on those tours and had so much fun. A great Costa Rican adventure with Adventure Life. I will not hesitate to book with them again. A special thanks to Shanna and Jessica!

We chose Annapurna Base Camp because the trek has a lower risk of altitude sickness that Everest Base Camp.
The trek was still quite challenging with many mountains to climb over (the guide called them hills ha ha) before we eventually started to follow the valley line up the mountains towards Base Camp. The accommodation was pretty basic (tea houses) in each village we stopped and the temperature kept getting lower the more we climbed. But once we got to base camp the view was amazing and we were so glad that we decided to do this trip. It was pretty hard, but the memories of being surrounded by some of the tallest mountains in the world was worth all the effort.
I would recommend that trip to anybody with a moderate level of fitness

This trek is definitely worth it. It might take a week to trek from start to finish but it is worth every step. The day we got to the base camp was very difficult but only because it started the hail, then snow in the last couple hours of trekking. Apart from that the trek was amazing. The views were amazing and I got to see thing i never would have at home.
