We had an amazing trip. Many thanks are in order, unfortunately I do not remember everyone’s name.

Thank you for excellent planning and suggestions.

Thanks to our guide and driver in Buenos Aires who made the most out of the few hours we had there.

Thanks to our arrival driver in Ushuaia.

Thanks to the guides for a fantastic hike and canoe in Ushaia.

We have the highest recommendation for the Stella Australis and the program and the crew.

Thanks for Jessica and Roberto for guiding us around Punta Arenas, especially Roberto who stayed with us all afternoon while we toured the Magellan/Beagle ship museum.

Thanks to the unexpected guide at the Punta Arenas airport who met us and checked in our bags.

Whole process of selecting and buying our trip was excellent. Agent was available to answer all questions. Trip itself was a little higher, but it worth it. Great hotel selections, wonderful tours. We had a great time.
For sure, we'll consider to travel with Vaya Adventures again

Jack McCabe from Vaya organized our trip to the Galapagos and Machu Picchu. We had terrific accommodations and food. Guides and or drivers met us at every turn to escort us seamlessly to our destinations. Most importantly the guides were passionate about their subject so our excursions were informative and meaningful.
The real test came when we had transportation issues that had nothing to do with Vaya. We contacted Jack after hours. He returned our call quickly to make certain everything got worked out.
It was the trip of a lifetime and Vaya will be the first call for my next trip to South America.

I was very impressed with the Family Adventure company in terms of the holiday delivered which was exceptional. The booking and pre-holiday experience was fine although it would be better to have a specific contact to email rather than just to phone the general number with queries.

Booking and customer service were good. From a child's perspective

Booking and customer service were good. From a child's perspective, FAC were not as welcoming. Another company we have travelled with sent a welcome pack with a travelling companion (soft toy) and activities to do while travelling. When on the holiday this company also catered more for families needs e.g. more frequent stops when travelling for food and toilets, without parents having to ask. The stops were also at more sensible times e.g. making sure there was a stop at lunch time (12.30ish), rather than early afternoon (1.30 onwards). Children (and adults) get irritable if they've not eaten making the journey more stressful.

      About Vaya Adventures

South America focused, Vaya Adventures was founded in 2004 and brings you up and close and personal with many facets of South American culture.

      What Makes Them Stand Out?

As specialists in custom trips as well as specific regions in South America, they are the perfect place to go for unique travel experiences. They offer several different types of trip, from family oriented to couples getaways.

      Who Travels With Them?

Anyone looking for a specialized trip in South America. Their tours are ideally suited to travelers interested having a hand in creating an itinerary, and many of their activities are “adventurous.” Think treks to Machu Picchu or glacier walking in Patagonia.

      Where Do They Operate?

They operate trips throughout South America, including cruises to the Galapagos and Antarctica.

      Why Travel With Them?

For an exceptional tailor made journey, which will introduce you to South America beyond the tourist sights.

Additionally, if you’re concerned about eco-friendly travel, it should come as no surprise that a company that focuses in a land vastly covered with rainforest, operates responsibly. They work with environmental organizations, including the Rainforest Alliance, to work towards preservation.

      About The Family Adventure Company

Founded two decades ago and based in the UK, The Family Adventure Company specializes in small group family adventure vacations. The company is now part of the global adventure travel operator Intrepid Travel, and trips are offered through Intrepid as well, allowing them to greatly expand their range.

      What Makes Them Stand Out?

With more than 20 years’ experience, The Family Adventure Company helped pioneer the concept of small-group adventure travel for families with young children. Activities are wide-ranging, from river rafting and kayaking to cycling, sailing, camping, and wildlife viewing, all geared to the ages and interests of the family travelers.

      Who Travels With Them?

A wide variety of families, including solo-parent, single-child, multi-generational families -- parents, children, and grandparents traveling together -- and families with teenagers. The latter have dedicated trips of special interest to teens.

      Where Do They Operate?

Much of the world: Africa, Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and the Americas.

      How Does it Work?

No matter where you travel, The Family Adventure Company provides an English-speaking, family-friendly local leader. Lodging, transportation and activities are also included. Tours typically consist of three or four families with kids of similar ages or interests. (You can also put together your own trip with just your family or other families you’re friendly with.) Children 14 and under get a ten percent discount off adult prices; large families (over two kids) get another price break.

      Why Travel With Them?

The award winning company offers a wide range of trips for a wide variety of families. Because they only cater to families, they know what kids like – and as any parent can tell you, nothing is more disastrous than a family tour not geared in any way to kids. The company also supports responsible and sustainable travel practices and gives back to local communities.
