We went on two Rabbies tours while in Edinburgh. Both were excellent and the group consensus was that the tours were the highlight of our trip to Scotland. Without having a car, Rabbies makes seeing the country-side of Scotland accessible and fun. Rabbies takes care of the details so you can really relax, listen to Scottish tunes and enjoy the ride. We also got lucky with absolutely perfect weather for our week in Scotland, the tours were no exception.
Our first outing was with Ross and was a two-day Inverness, Highlands and Loch Ness tour. We saw so much on the tour and had plenty of opportunities to get off the bus, take pictures, grab a coffee, do a little exploring and enjoy lunch in a small, quaint town. Ross was very knowledgeable, authentic and a delight to have as our tour driver. We thought he was exceptional. Some highlights were grabbing a coffee in Dunkeld, fish and chips at Bruer, boat tour of Loch Ness, exploring Urquhart Castle, a photo stop (and a special bagpipe performance by our awesome guide) at Glencoe and so many other memorable stops. This trip was the "real" Scotland I had always wanted to visit wrapped up in an unforgettable 2-day trip.
Our second trip was with Stephen who took us on a one-day Lochs and Castles tour. Stephen was a great guide too; very knowledgeable and personable. He offered to take pictures for us and even did a few impromptu stops along the way to make sure we got the most out of our trip. We were able to catch a beautiful rainbow over Loch Awe thanks to his quick stop. The one day tour is more condensed (less time for very in-depth exploration) but still has the same breathtaking stops. Our only regret is that we didn't have more time in Scotland to go on more tours. We absolutely loved them!
