It's been more than three weeks and we're still aglow from the adventure (and we were there before Wolf Volcano erupted). So grateful to Martha, Orlando, Captain Peter, all the men named Luis, Chef Ricky, Cabin Boy Richard and the rest of the crew. We adore you all! I also have to mention that our fellow passengers were the perfect people to share this experience with.

My Galapagos cruise with Ecoventura has to be one of the top five trips I've ever taken. Everything was beautifully organized, the guides were terrific and of course the Galapagos wildlife was the tamest and most accessible in the world. Ecoventura does everything by the book, so you can be sure you're doing right by the area ecologically. The ships are small so you get to know everyone on board well, and there are plenty of opportunities for snorkeling, swimming, and sitting out on desk relaxing.

Stride Review

Ecoventura  is all about cruising the Galapagos -- it doesn't just do the Galapagos along with lots of other cruises. Its three identical expedition motor yachts -- the M/Y Eric, Flamingo I and Letty -- were custom-designed for Galapagos cruising: While nearly 25 years old, you'd never know it because they're refurbished annually. You'll find lots of teak and brass fittings and the lounge area is very comfortable for pre-dinner socializing or reading a book at any time. There's also plenty of outdoor deck space.

With just ten (spacious) cabins, all facing outside and with private bathrooms, the ships each hold a maximum of  20 passengers. It's easy to get to know everyone on board if you want.

The key, though, is the thorough coverage of the Galapagos themselves. You'll take in up to eight islands on the seven-day trips, with chances to view most of the marine mammal, reptile and bird species that inhabit them, as well as research facilities. Besides hiking to view the animals, you'll have plenty of chances to swim, snorkel or scuba dive among sea turtles, sea lions, and tropical fish.

Guides are trained, local, and knowlegeable, and Ecoventura is dedicated to sound environmental stewardship of these fragile island habitats.

We are committed to providing active adults and families an authentic experience in small compatible groups, offering value and a safe, memorable voyage. As owner and operator, we have full control over the consistent high quality provided on our fleet of four expedition vessels; (3) identical superior first-class 20-passenger motor yachts, Eric, Flamingo & Letty and the 16-passenger luxury dive live-aboard, MV Galapagos Sky.

Departures are every Sunday on two unique 7-night itineraries offering guided nature walks, snorkeling, kayaking and zodiac tours. Discover the full diversity of the Islands in small groups of ten guests per naturalist guide to ensure up-close wildlife encounters. Guests feel at home on their private yacht while our crew strives for personalized service. Our culinary school trained chefs serve locally sourced gourmet style menus, featuring both international and Ecuadorian specialties.

Leading the way in sustainable tourism, Ecoventura was the first company to earn and maintain the voluntary certification, Smart Voyager the first company in Galapagos to offset carbon emissions. We reduced emissions through the installation of solar panels and wind generators on the ERIC, converting her to the first hybrid yacht in Galapagos. Ecoventura established the Galapagos Marine Biodiversity Fund in partnership with the World Wildlife Fund to support marine conservation by strengthening the local communities’ ability to manage natural resources. Ecoventura supports Ecology Project International through scholarships for local high-school students to study conservation directly in the field and ecology-related issues.

Why Choose Ecoventura?
