Stride Review

Founded in 1892 by John Muir, the Sierra club has a long, prestigious history. They provide environmentally conscious travel experiences with an adventurous twist.

What Makes Them Stand Out?

The Sierra Club is a unique outfitter, with a long legacy. They have many initiatives to protect wildlife and ecosystems, and approach all their tours with this perspective. They are partially donation based and memberships based. If you join the Sierra Club, part of all your purchases go toward supporting their green programs and raising awareness.

Who Travels With Them?

The Sierra Club trips are very popular among young families. Many of their programs focus on educating school age children, such as an “adopt a wild animal” program. The proceeds of which go towards the protection of that animal in the wild. Their tours are suitable to a number of different experience and physical levels.

Where Do They Operate?

They operate around the world, with several trips in the United States and Europe.

Why Travel With Them?

If you’re interested in helping with preservation efforts, and exploring the world with a prestigious outfitter, Sierra Club is an excellent choice.

From Sierra Club Outings

Founded by legendary conservationist John Muir in 1892, the Sierra Club is now the nation's largest and most influential grassroots environmental organization -- with more than two million members and supporters. Our successes range from protecting millions of acres of wilderness to helping pass the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and Endangered Species Act. More recently, we've made history by leading the charge to move away from the dirty fossil fuels that cause climate disruption and toward a clean energy economy.
