Are you dreaming about surfing in Mexico? Want to relax in beautiful, traditionally decorated accommodations with incredible ocean views after your surf lessons? Perfect – because we’ve discovered a gorgeous ocean-front resort with rustic, yet luxurious, private rooms cooled by the tropical ocean breeze and minutes from the lush banana, mango and palm trees of the coastal jungle. When you are not relaxing in paradise, this stretch of Mexico’s Pacific coastline (just 45 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta, but a world away) has excellent beginner and intermediate surf breaks, making it the ideal place for a Mexico surf camp. Hone your surf skills or try surfing for the first time with our friendly, experienced instructors. Just a short non-stop flight from many North American cities, you can be here in 3 or 4 hours, in plenty of time for a sunset swim and a margarita!

Our Mexico surf camp provides daily surf lessons as well as the option for yoga classes most afternoons. You can also visit several excellent surf breaks in the region, including some that can be accessed by boat or hiking only. When you’re not surfing or stretching, you’ll have the opportunity to snorkel, swim, kayak, whale watch, relax, and eat delicious, freshly-caught fish overlooking the beach.

If you are looking for an unforgettable time surfing in Mexico, then our Mexico surf camp is perfect for you! For more information on our Mexico surfing camps, please call (650) 492 – 4778 or email us.

Please note: This surf camp is run with our travel partner in Mexico.

Trip of a Lifetime is the only way to describe Access Trips' Mexico mountain bike and surfing trip. The biking is challenging and takes you through the real Mexico. You will ride past cowboys on horseback herding cattle and stop in a number of tiny villages. There you are able to try homemade ice cream or a treat hot out of an earthen oven. If you are really lucky, you may sample some local moonshine called "ricia" that is as smooth as any tequila. The terrain is spectacular. The accommodations in Moscato are in an adobe and plank and timber hacienda; truly beautiful. Just as you are getting saddle sore, it is off to Sayulita where you can soak up the sun, sand, surf and cervezas. The surfing is at a picture postcard beach with surfing for every level and Sayulita has more varieties of fish tacos than you could try in two weeks. This was a great trip; best I've ever taken and I am a repeat customer.

Just back from the El Salvador Multi-Sport Trip. Had an awesome time. Everything went smoothly thanks to our guide/instructor Roy and his assistant Javier. Both are very personable and knowledgeable and willing to share their experiences and educate the group about their country. Would definitely recommend this trip!

My 2012 mountain bike adventure in Costa Rica was fantastic. Each day was a challenging ride through a beautiful part of the country. We definitely earned that shower followed by a wonderful dinner at a very nice hotel each night. The guides were knowledgeable and accommodating, the equipment was top notch and the friends I made along the way made the trip all that much more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this trip to those with a love for the outdoors!

Itinerary

Day 1: Airport Pick-up & Relax

Meals: Dinner

Our Mexico surf camp begins at Ordaz International Airport in Puerto Vallarta. We’ll take a 45 minute scenic drive to get to your beautiful accommodations for the next six nights. Depending on when your flight arrives, you’ll have time to kick back by the pool, take a swim, and enjoy a margarita. In the evening, we’ll gather for a delicious welcome dinner overlooking the ocean.

Day 2: Surf Lessons Begin!

Meals: Breakfast

We start the day with a light breakfast and head to our excellent beach break in Sayulita for our first surf lesson lasting a full two hours. After surfing, reward yourself with lunch – we recommend the freshly caught fish or shrimp served right on the beach! The rest of the day is yours to explore the village, hike along the coast, snorkel, rent a sea kayak, or kick back on the beach and enjoy the sunshine.

Day 3: Surfing

Meals: Breakfast

Your surf vacation in Mexico continues with a delicious breakfast. Again we head to Sayulita Beach for a 2-hour surf lesson. In the afternoon, it’s your choice to relax poolside, take a dip in the ocean, or enjoy a soothing massage. How will you ever choose? (If you want a massage or other spa service, please book directly through the resort.)

Day 4: Boat Trip to Marine National Park

Meals: Breakfast and Lunch

Today we’ll take a break from surfing and head out on a boat expedition to a marine national park, providing a great opportunity to whale watch from December to March. We’ll swim and snorkel in pristine waters off the boat amidst stunning jungle and beach scenery. After our trip, we will enjoy a late lunch at a beachfront restaurant in Punta de Mita.

Day 5: Surfing & Swimming at Stunning Beach

Meals: Breakfast

We’ll start the day as usual with a delicious breakfast. Today we’ll head down the coast to explore a more secluded beach and surf break. Tonight you might like to head into Sayulita for dinner.

Day 6: Final Surf Lesson

Meals: Breakfast and Dinner

Today we’ll head to another local spot for your final day of surfing. If you were a complete beginner at the beginning of the week, by now you’ll have learned to paddle with ease, to catch unbroken waves, to stand up on your board, and perhaps to even turn along the wave as you surf. If you already knew how to surf, our instructors will have helped you to develop your surfing technique and improve your confidence. If you weren’t a passionate surfer before the trip began, you most certainly will be by now. Tonight we’ll enjoy a farewell dinner of fresh, authentic Mexican cuisine.

Day 7: Your custom surf camp in Mexico is over!

Meals: Breakfast

Enjoy a lazy morning by the beach or a massage before we drop you off at the airport in Puerto Vallarta.
