Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Flights to Lukla are always scheduled early in the morning. Therefore, early in the morning you will be transferred to the airport (in an air conditioned car) to board a flight to Lukla.  After about 30-35 minute of  scenic flight, the flight lands on the Tenzing-Hillary Airport in Lukla. At Lukla, your breakfast, porters and other team members will be awaiting your arrival. After a short introduction session with your team members, the breakfast will be served. Meanwhile, the luggage will also be prepared for the porters. Once everything is set, the ultimate trekking starts towards Phakding- the first overnight station located lower than Lukla in between Lukla and Namche. It’s a short hike for about 3-4 hours from Lukla. The up and down trail consists of rough switchbacks and flights of stone stairs cut into the mountains. The trail is also accompanied by small Sherpa villages, prayer wheels and mani stones with carved or painted Buddhist inscriptions. Having past these scenic views, we finally reach the destination of the day- Phakding also known as the lodge city in Khumbu. We check into the Yeti Mountain Home located at the bank of the Dudhkoshi River. The area is quiet and tranquil and the hotel provides the ultimate luxury. A hike to Syangboche is the most popular day hike from Namche. About 2 hours of easy walk will take us to Syangboche. This hike is also very essential for the purpose of acclimatization. Therefore, after breakfast, the hike to Syangboche starts with a climb up the Himalayan hill behind Namche. After climbing the hill, the route heads north along a long ridge the Everest View Hotel.  The hotel is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records (2004), as the hotel placed at the highest altitude in the world. We check into the hotel for overnight stay. From the hotel, we enjoy an amazing panorama of Everest and Ama Dablam. If you have time and energy, about 20 minute walk from the hotel will take us to the largest Sherpa village in the Khumbu region Khumjung that gives you a change to visit the monastery that displays a scalp claimed to be from a yeti, a school founded by Sir Edmund Hillary and a few traditional Sherpa houses. However, if you are more interested in exploring nature, then the jungle near Syngboche is a very good option for spotting Danphe. Moreover, if you are really lucky, you can also spot Himalayan Thar and endangered musk deer. Tonight’s dinner and accommodation are arranged in the Everest View  Hotel. We will spend some time exploring the very beautiful monastery. After exploring the monastery, we will now descend to Deboche for overnight stay. At Deboche, we will check into the Hotel Culture Home.  Both the accommodation and dinner is arranged in the hotel.  The hotel features comfortable accommodation with attached bathroom, cozy bed and spacious room and freshly made organic food for dinner.

Therefore,  after breakfast in the morning, we go for a short hike (about 1 hour) to the top of a ridge behind Pheriche- the Dingboche view point. We spend some time up there enjoying the very pleasant view and then hike down to Pheriche. After crossing the bridge, we climb up the steep terminal of the Khumbu Glacier, which offers memorials of Sherpas who lost their lives on the glaciers of Mt. Everest. Leaving the Khumbu glacier behind, we gently climb up to Lobuche. The night will be spent in a comfortable lodge in Lobuche and the dinner will also be served in the same lodge.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

After breakfast at Lobuche, the hike out of Lobuche continues steadily along the Khumbu Glacier and past the trail for the Italian Pyramid. Initially, the hike is relatively easy with gentle incline; however, after an hour or so, we will be crossing the Kangri Nup Glacier, after which the trail passes through a constant up and down, on the glacial moraine. Shortly after this we reach Gorakshep, situated at the base of Kala Patthar. We have our lunch, rest for some time and around the evening hike up to Kala Pathher to enjoy the sunset view and the view of  Mt. Everest from base camp to the summit. Not just the summit, the top of Kala Patthar also greets you with a very beautiful view of Nuptse, Pumori and the Khumbu Glacier. After enjoying the view, we hike back to Gorakshep for overnight stay. Dinner and accommodation are arranged in a very comfortable lodge in Gorakshep.
