  • Pedal through an exotic landscape more accustomed to goats and donkeys than cyclists
  • Marrakech's D'jemâa el Fna, a marketplace brimming with snake charmers, soothsayers, herbalists and musicians
  • Hike to a remote Berber village in the Atlas Mountains to see traditional life
  • Twilight camel ride on Essaouira's beach
  • Luxuriate at Heure Bleue Palais with spectacular ocean views

This trip is exotic and exciting—kind of like riding a camel. You'll savor tagines and be mesmerized by Berber music. Hike to a rustic village in the Atlas Mountains. Spin past olive groves to the sea. And yes, ride a camel on the dunes. Perhaps you've traveled with us before. But come to Morocco and your non-camel vacations just won't compare.

This was the Canadian Rockies Cycling trip in the year 2000. It was a while ago so i can only remember a few details, but it was a fabulous cycling trip where I not only learned so much more about biking (it was my first ever cycling trip and I just started training for it 2-3 months before), had wonderful and super fun guides, magnificent views, fun places to stay, great food, and I met my husband on that trip! I have a friend who I met on another trip and recommended this one to her. She went on he exact same Backroads trip a few years after us and met HER husband on it! Both of us still married!
