In Vino Veritas

We’ve been biking en Bourgogne for a long time, and for good reason. In French wine’s ancestral home, you’ll bike to the top of Hautes Côtes, sip vintages in the fields from which they grew and spend two nights at Abbaye de la Bussière (the region’s most exclusive hotel). Then, you’ll explore the pleasures of Beaune (our adopted hometown) and its unique relationship with wine. To Burgundian locals, time is measured by the season. For us, it’s by the kilometre, the meal and the vintage.

If you've not taken a trip with Butterfield & Robinson as your guides, you must! My husband and I love to travel and are pretty resourceful at finding great hotels and restaurants on our own. However, we just completed our third trip with B&R and are always so impressed and awed at the quality of accommodations, education, and experiences we would not of had on our own.We can't wait and are already planning for the next trip!

Accomodations

Château Du Petit Musigny, Chambolle-Musigny

Set amid the vines in the tiny village of Chambolle-Musigny, the intimate yet luxurious 18thC Château du Petit Musigny opened as a hotel in 1993. Tastefully decorated and surrounded by a lush and peaceful garden, the hotel offers only ten quaint and comfortable rooms—meaning that the service is always excellent and we quite often have the place all to ourselves!

L’hôtel De Beaune

This 19thC hotel is ideally located within steps of the shops and restaurants in the historic centre of Beaune. The courtyard is a great spot to unwind over a glass of wine, and the terrace leads to an incredible view over the city’s medieval rooftops. L’Hôtel is very intimate offering only 10 rooms.
