Welcome to a land of untamed natural beauty and wild abandon. A family trip to Iceland with B&R is like stepping into a scene from The Lord of the Rings—a fantasy playground where ancient sagas of sword-wielding Viking legends come to life, where trolls and elves are still believed to roam the lava fields, and the lofty summits of Mt Hekla and Snaefellsness offer routes to the centre of the Earth. It is an adventure for the taking and we dive in with activities for all ages. Travelling in the comfort of our own 4X4 with a personal guide, we set off for hikes over lava fields, glacier treks, caving, horseback-riding and perhaps even a dip in a heated river. It’s as entrancing as it is welcoming, and truly the trip of a lifetime.

We’ll enjoy some gentle walks along beaches and through rolling countryside and somewhat more strenuous walks in the mountains, along glaciers and through canyons. It should be noted that the trails we walk can be very uneven underfoot, particularly when crossing lava fields. Additional activities may include river rafting, horseback riding, ice climbing, glacier hiking and caving. Please be aware that hikes and/or activities may have to be changed last-minute due to climate conditions, which are highly unpredictable in Iceland. Please also note that drives can be long; this enables us to take in a huge variety of scenery and experience a multitude of landscapes. The activities on this trip are geared for children eight years old and up. The rafting is available for children 12 and up.
