Itinerary

Day 1 Warsaw, Poland - Tour Begins

You will come to know the city of Warsaw with its blend of Old World charm and deep history. Tonight, get to know your fellow travelers during a welcome dinner.

Day 2 Warsaw

Embrace the moving history of Warsaw, a city reborn after WWII, as you embark on a locally guided tour. Your journey through this capital city includes a stop at what remains of the Warsaw Ghetto. Pause to celebrate mass at 3/9 Zytnia Street Church, home to the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy, where Saint Faustina entered the convent. The remainder of the day is free to take in the side streets and quaint cafés in the Old Town, explore a museum or simply relax.

Day 3 Warsaw - Niepokalanów - Czestochowa

Journey to Niepokalanów to discover one of the largest Franciscan monasteries in the world (founded by Saint Maximillian Kolbe). Continue south to Czestochowa, the spiritual capital of Poland. Begin your visit by celebrating mass. Then, journey inside the Jasna Góra Monastery to get up close to the famous Black Madonna. Saint Pope John Paul II visited this miraculous image many times during his papacy.

Day 4 Czestochowa - Wadowice - Krakow

Get a glimpse into the formative years of the beloved Saint Pope John Paul II with a visit to Wadowice, the town where he was born and raised. Step into the past when you see the church where he was baptized. In 1992, the pope gave the church the status of Basilica Minor. Continue to Krakow and explore the city on a tour with a local expert that includes a visit to the Market Square. Pause for a prayer at St. Mary’s Church…be amazed by its famous wooden altarpiece created by Wit Stwosz (Veit Stoss), one of the best sculptors of the Middle Ages. You will also see the impressive Wawel Castle, the former residence of Polish kings.

Day 5 Krakow - Auschwitz - Krakow

Today you embark on a poignant journey through history as you travel to Auschwitz. A local expert guides you through the former concentration camp where you will learn firsthand about the terrors - as well as the resilience of the human spirit - that occurred within those walls. Return to Krakow to visit the Shrine of Divine Mercy where the tomb of Saint Faustina is located. Spend time in worship and contemplation on the site of the monastery of the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy where Saint Faustina lived and died.

Day 6 Krakow - Zakopane - Krakow

Travel to Zakopane, Poland’s most popular resort. With its stunning scenery, it is the perfect place to get up close to nature. The area has countless nature trails where Saint Pope John Paul II would spend time strolling in prayer and reflection. Make a stop to see the charming wooden Jaszczurówka Chapel and sanctuary dedicated to Our Lady of Fatima, built in thanksgiving after Saint Pope John Paul II’s life was saved in 1981. The remainder of your afternoon is at leisure. Tonight, enjoy a folklore show and dinner at a traditional Polish restaurant.

Day 7 Krakow - Warsaw

Your journey through Poland comes full circle with your return to Warsaw. This evening, join your fellow travelers for a farewell dinner celebrating a fantastic journey.

Day 8 Warsaw - Tour Ends

Your journey comes to a close. Depart with new perspectives, a strengthened faith and treasured memories.

Everything--planning and organization of the best tour of Italy ever, for example. Extremely qualified tour managers who are very knowledgeable about the country being toured, its culture, and customs. Every aspect of the tour is planned with the clients' pleasure as the primary focus.

Went to Italy with Collette in May. Our guide, Daniel Boghen, was spectacular! Our driver, Antonio, was a joy! Knowledgeable, organized, responsive. Hotels were lovely, food delicious. Saw many things that I don't think I would have known about if not for the experience of the guide. It was quite busy, a lot of walking, but that allowed us to see so much! Trip went from Rome to Pompeii, sorrento, Pisa, Verona, Venice, Florence and Lucano, Switzerland...with stops along the way to a vineyard for lunch, dinner with opera singers in Rome, dinner on an island in Lake Maggiore, the catacombs in Rome, gondola ride -- with musicians in Venice...would recommend this trip! Can't wait to return!
