Add a little adventure to your visit to Angkor park with a treasure hunt! Your journey will take you to on a discovery of the ancient Khmer temples, through deep jungles, green rice fields, and some of the most astonishing ruins you ever have seen. Thanks to the tuk-tuk and the treasure hunter's book, the teams will have to find the clues hidden in different places in the Angkor area temples. You’ll play games, answer questions, and even communicate with local people to find all the clues in order to discover the secret treasure of Angkor. In some places, the guide will wait the teams for the visit. Divided into 2 small groups, everybody will have a different path and they will compete against each other. The winner, of course, will be the one who find the treasure first! To celebrate the winner and also to congratulate the other team, awards will be presented. For the lunch break, your meal will be prepared in a remote, untouched temple where you’ll dine in peace. After a delicious lunch, relax under the trees before starting your afternoon activities. The evening and dinner is free at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 8: Angkor Complex Exploring

Meals: Breakfast

We will spend more time to visit remote temples of Angkor Park: Temple of Bang Mealea in the jungle. The temple was built during the reign of Suryavarman II, in the middle of the twelfth century. It gives the visitor the impression of being the first explorer of the temple. Far from the bustle of Angkor Wat, Beng Mealea lends itself articularly to the reverie and meditation, inhabited by celestial dancers (Apsaras), this symbiotic relationship between vegetable and mineral is most surprising. The roots of the trees that have gently wrapped this temple seem to marry forms. In the afteroon, leave for Banteay Srei where one of the most impressive jewels of Khmer art exists. Erected in the 10th century, this small pink sandstone temple is known as the Citadel of Women. It houses some remarkably well conserved sculptured lintels and was made famous by Andre Malraux in the early 20th century when, in 1923, he returned the Apsara heads that he had previously removed. Back to the hotel for a free evening. Meals on your own account. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 9: Khmer family day

Meals: Breakfast and Lunch

Your family day starts with a playful and challenging activity: a minigolf session in a fun setting with mini imitations of the Angkor temples. When your game is over, you'll travel to the surrounding countryside of Siem Reap (approx. 30mn by car). From there, you'll walk through the rice fields to reach a small temple which is hidden in the forest. Away from the tourist paths, you'll feel you've become explorers looking for a secret temple. Next is a short transfer to the nearby lake where Khmer families like to spend time at the weekend. Lunch will be in a local restaurant. In the afternoon you can swim (from July to January).

When the sun goes down, you will travel along Road 60 which at that time starts to come alive, the local merchants set up their small shops and offer their specialities: fruits, skewers, noodles, soup and even grilled insects! It's a great opportunity to taste some uncommon and surprising flavours! It is also a place which is very much appreciated by Khmer families as a small funfair is set up there. Trampoline, carousel, dart games... There is a true olden times feel to the funfair with the atmosphere a little outdated but none-the-less charming. For the little ones, whether they're foreign or Khmer, this is a time to meet each other and share the universal language of play. Return to hotel for relax. Dinner on your own account. Overnight at hotel.

Day 10: Siem Reap - Departure

Meals: Breakfast

Relax by hotel's pool or spend more time to explore the Old Market of Siem Reap as you wish. See your guide again for a transfer to airport for depature flight. Room is at disposal until noon time. Meals on your own account. Service end.
