Every thing was very well done from the food to the activities. I cannot say enough good things about G adventures. Wish there were t-shirts available to purchase, would be good advertisement for the company.

1, The CEO in our tour is Chris Leute who is one of the amaizing people you recruited. I heard you have around 1000 CEO in the world. Hope they all are like Chris who are exceptional people. 2, The founder: Bruce Poon Tip's story and how his dream and purpose operate in Gadventures. 3, The product: good resourses, professional services, and closing to local... I have been a solo traveller since 2000. this was the first time that I wanted to try a tour because I was attracted by Bruce's passion and ideas. The CEO and Product were good and professional, and many group members loved it . For me, I am lookinf for the tour that are really go into the locals, talking with them and learning more with them. Maybe, I need to ask more about the tour before I book it next time. Next Destination will be Peru, I still hope to go with Gadventures, and also I will bring my friends with me.

I have always been apprehensive of booking a pre-arranged tour, such as the one with G Adventures - because I didn't want to feel herded as part of a larger group and a set itinerary. G Adventures provided enough DIY within the schedule, while taking away the complicated tasks (transport, booking rooms, etc.) which suited me, a busy professional, perfectly. I was also reluctant because I was travelling alone, but I met some awesome, like-minded, people who really enhanced my travel experience. Thank you G!

Kayaking Costa Rica was ridiculous fun. Our small group got along very well -- loads of laughs; our CEO took care of everything and I enjoyed amazing experiences surrounded by stunning vistas and unique wildlife. I would go again in a heartbeat, though it would be tough to beat this trip!

Itinerary

Day 1 San José

There are no planned activities, so check into the hotel and enjoy the city. Amid the hustle and bustle, San José has beautiful parks, museums and the ornate National Theatre downtown. The central plaza is a good place to people-watch. A mime, juggler, marimba band, magician, or storyteller may be performing for whatever is collected when the hat is passed. Artisan booths are common, creating a regular arts and crafts fair atmosphere. Included Activities: Arrival Day and Welcome Meeting

Day 2 San José/La Fortuna

La Fortuna, the town near the foot of Arenal Volcano, is an excellent base for adventure. Transport: Local bus

Day 3 La Fortuna

Work your arms, legs and core muscles in an included kayak and stand-up paddle board session on Lake Arenal. Included Activities: Stand Up Paddle and Kayak Combo

Day 4 La Fortuna

Enjoy a free day for adrenaline-fueled optionals such as the Cerro Chato extreme hike, whitewater rafting on Class III and IV rapids, waterfall rappelling or mountain biking. Or take it easy with some bird watching in Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge by boat or a massage in town.

Day 5 La Fortuna/Sarapiquí (1L, 1D)

Travel to Sarapiquí and to the tranquil Cuarto River. Hop into kayaks and cruise downstream. The calm waters are perfect for birdwatching and wildlife spotting in the forest canopy. Included Activities: Guided River Kayak Excursion Transport: Private Vehicle

Day 6 Sarapiquí/Tortuguero (1B, 1L, 1D)

Travel east towards the Caribbean coast, then transfer to a boat and motor through canals to arrive in Tortuguero at the jungle-lined coast of Costa Rica. After arrival, enjoy a guided visit to the town of Tortuguero. Included Activities: Tortuguero Village Visit Transport: Private Vehicle Boat

Day 7 Tortuguero (1B, 1L, 1D)

Along Costa Rica's Caribbean coast, between April and October, sea turtles lay their eggs on the beach. You must book a tour with a registered tour guide in order to be allowed on the beach at night during nesting season. From November to early January, baby turtles will be making the journey from their nest to the ocean. Included Activities: Guided Kayak Excursion

Single travellers joining group trips are paired in twin or multi-share accommodation with someone of the same sex for the duration of the trip. Some of our Independent trips are designed differently and single travellers on these itineraries must pay the single trip price.

1. WEATHER Be prepared for rain and lower temperatures during the winter season (June-November), especially in Costa Rica's central valley. 2. PROOF OF DEPARTURE Costa Rica will not be allowing anyone to enter the country without proof of a departure ticket (bus, airplane, boat, etc.). Meals

Eating is a big part of traveling. Travelling with G Adventures you experience the vast array of wonderful food that is available out in the world. Generally meals are not included in the trip price when there is a choice of eating options, to give you the maximum flexibility in deciding where, what and with whom to eat. It also gives you more budgeting flexibility, though generally food is cheap. Our groups tend to eat together to enable you to taste a larger variety of dishes and enjoy each other's company. There is no obligation to do this though. Your CEO will be able to suggest favourite restaurants during your trip. The above information applies to G Adventures group trips. For Independent trips please check the itinerary for details of meals included. For all trips please refer to the meals included and budget information for included meals and meal budgets.

Dossier Disclaimer

The information in this trip details document has been compiled with care and is provided in good faith. However it is subject to change, and does not form part of the contract between the client and the operator. The itinerary featured is correct at time of printing. It may differ slightly to the one in the brochure. Occasionally our itineraries change as we make improvements that stem from past travellers, comments and our own research. Sometimes it can be a small change like adding an extra meal along the itinerary. Sometimes the change may result in us altering the tour for the coming year. Ultimately, our goal is to provide you with the most rewarding experience. Please note that our brochure is usually released in November each year. If you have booked from the previous brochure you may find there have been some changes to the itinerary. VERY IMPORTANT: Please ensure that you print a final copy of your Trip Details to review a couple of days prior to travel, in case there have been changes that affect your plans.

Physical Requirements Our small group adventures bring together people of all ages. It is very important you are aware that, as a minimum, an average level of fitness and mobility' is required to undertake our easiest programs. Travellers must be able to walk without the aid of another person, climb 3-4 flights of stairs, step on and off small boats, and carry their own luggage at a minimum. Travellers with a pre-existing medical condition are required to complete a short medical questionnaire, which must be signed by their physician. This is to ensure that travellers have the necessary fitness and mobility to comfortably complete their chosen trip. While our CEOs work hard to ensure that all our travellers are catered for equally, it is not their responsibility to help individuals who cannot complete the day's activities unaided. Please refer to the physical ratings in this Trip Details document for more information. The medical questionnaire can be found online at: www.gadventures.com/medical-form.
Rules & Other Requirements Illegal drugs will not be tolerated on any trips. Possessing or using drugs not only contravenes the laws of the land but also puts the rest of the group at risk. Smoking marijuana and opium is a part of local culture in some parts of the world but is not acceptable for our travellers. Our philosophy of travel is one of respect towards everyone we encounter, and in particular the local people who make the world the special place it is. The exploitation of prostitutes is completely contrary to this philosophy. Our CEOs have the right to expel any member of the group if drugs are found in their possession or if they use prostitutes.
