Highlights
  • Enjoy a guided sea kayaking excursion around dubrovnik's city walls
  • Cycle in the konavle valley
  • Hike along dalmatian cliffs
  • Visit the island of kolocep
  • Wander in dubrovnik's old town

Dotted with unspoiled islands, secluded beaches, and miles of coastal paths, the Dalmatian Coast remains one of Eastern Europe’s most beautiful destinations. Ideal for travellers looking to try a variety of things in an out-of-the-way place, this idyllic slice of Croatia along the surprisingly balmy Adriatic Sea is practically bursting with outdoorsy potential. Hike and bike the ruggedly beautiful rocky coastlines, paddle a sea kayak past uninhabited islands, or just laze about on the beach and let the time pass. The choice is yours, and the choices are infinite.

I had the most magical experience thank you. Especially so , spoilt by having the very best skipper Damir. Through Damir's local knowledge of the Island's, he was able to give us the best possible experience. If I was to go home tomorrow, (& my travel plans are, travelling for some months yet) I would be the happiest woman alive! I rate this adventure, the very best in my life time.Damir's caring thoughts of each & everyone of his passengers needs were to make this sailing trip very special to us all. Our safety & well being was paromount at all times, but always giving us the flexability also. I have already started spreading the word. Thank you so much G Adventures. Warmest regards, Vivienne Nye November 2015

I liked the mix of visiting places and just hanging on the boat which made it the most Relaxing Holiday in a Long time.

Great country, and very well organized trip, given us access to unusual places. From the skipper, taking into account different wishes and different focus from all guests to make sure, that everybody feels well. May 2015

It was an awesome trip. After a week of running and taking trains around Rome, Florence, Venice, and Cinque Terre -- that week was a awesome break to just relax and enjoy the Amalfi Coast. We stayed at agriturismo and had farm-to-table meals every breakfast and every dinner.

This trip called for a lot of hiking -- not recommended for those who do not hike or exercise on a regular basis.

Flights & Transport
Only ground transportLocal buses, private van, boat, cycle, sea kayakIntercity transport on this trip will be by local bus and train and private mini-van. The bus and train systems in the Balkans are generally good, but can get very busy in high season with seat reservations become very limited as the fledgling infrastructure gets stretched to its limits. This tour includes some long travel days, but we believe those hours on the bus are more than worth it for the reward of seeing so much of this breathtaking region in a short space of time, so unfold your map, pack in your mp3 player, a good book and a phrase-book, and get ready to enjoy some beautiful landscapes with your Croatian neighbour. Between transport and hotels you will be required to carry your luggage short distances (up to 15mins walk), so we advise you pack light. Between hotels and train/bus stations we will be taking some local city buses or trams, so be prepared to jump aboard with the locals and enjoy the ride!
Local Flights If required all local flights are included in the cost of your tours unless otherwise noted. It is important that we have your passport information at the time of booking in order to process these tickets. Internal flight tickets are issued locally and will be given to you prior to the flight departure.

Solo Notes

LUGGAGE In Europe it is very rare to find elevators in train stations, hotels or other public places. We use public transport on this trip, which means you will need to carry your luggage from platform to platform, in and out of trains and buses etc. and also possibly up several flights of stairs. You will also need to be able to stow your luggage safely on trains and buses. It is therefore essential that you pack light and bring luggage which is compact and lightweight, and which you can easily transport. The carrying of your luggage remains your responsibility at all times.
Accomodations
Hotels (6 nts)
It is important to note that accommodation in Europe tend to be quite different to other areas of the world you may have travelled in. Buildings and rooms are generally old and may not have been renovated or maintained to the highest standard. Downtown hotels in Europe were not build to be hotels but rich owners houses, which have been changed into hotels. Therefore unusual room sizes are common as large rooms have been partitioned in the past, resulting in rather "thin" walls. Reception areas, rooms and bathrooms tend to be very small as they were often added into an existing room, and may have a hand nozzle rather than a conventional shower head. Staff can occasionally demonstrate less than perfect customer service. As accommodation is in short supply, especially during the summer months, hotels can charge a premium and there is sometimes little motivation to improve facilities. On this trip you can expect to stay in hotels or pensions, which will vary a little in standard and facilities: some may not have elevators, air-conditioning or English-speaking staff, but most importantly all are locally-run, with some traditional character, and in excellent central locations to give you maximum time for exploring the sights.

Age Notes

Min. Age: You must be 18 to travel unaccompanied on a G Adventures tour. For minors travelling with a guardian over 21 years old, the minimum age is 12.

Physical Requirements Our small group adventures bring together people of all ages. It is very important you are aware that, as a minimum, an average level of fitness and mobility' is required to undertake our easiest programs. Travellers must be able to walk without the aid of another person, climb 3-4 flights of stairs, step on and off small boats, and carry their own luggage at a minimum. Travellers with a pre-existing medical condition are required to complete a short medical questionnaire, which must be signed by their physician. This is to ensure that travellers have the necessary fitness and mobility to comfortably complete their chosen trip. While our CEOs work hard to ensure that all our travellers are catered for equally, it is not their responsibility to help individuals who cannot complete the day's activities unaided. Please refer to the physical ratings in this Trip Details document for more information. The medical questionnaire can be found online at: www.gadventures.com/medical-form.
Rules & Other Requirements Illegal drugs will not be tolerated on any trips. Possessing or using drugs not only contravenes the laws of the land but also puts the rest of the group at risk. Smoking marijuana and opium is a part of local culture in some parts of the world but is not acceptable for our travellers. Our philosophy of travel is one of respect towards everyone we encounter, and in particular the local people who make the world the special place it is. The exploitation of prostitutes is completely contrary to this philosophy. Our CEOs have the right to expel any member of the group if drugs are found in their possession or if they use prostitutes.
