The Galapagos really is an incredible place. Although we did not get to see all of the islands, I feel like we got very good exposure to, and depth into, the things we wanted to see most. We were placed with a great group of families, and several of the kids became inseparable, which allowed the parents to enjoy themselves even more.

The Galapagos Family Adventure was a dream come true. The islands and wildlife experience was everything we hoped it would be, with non-stop extraordinary encounters with wildlife within a half hr of our setting our bags down in the hotel. Our CEO made the trip come alive. She demonstrated incredible passion, respect, knowledge and love for her country, for the islands, the wildlife and the community. She showed genuine interest in our children, and ensuring both they AND the parents had a wonderful holiday, every day. She kept us very busy, but always appropriately so for parents/children travelling together and made great use of our time in Galapagos.

The Galapagos Islands is one of the most beautiful and unique places I've ever travelled to. I believe the islands alone provide a magical experience to the person choosing to travel there. G Adventures made the tour more memorable and personal. It allowed us to become more immersed in the culture, meet friends we hope to have for years to come - and the travel felt smooth and easy because the staff knew the all the little ins and outs. Truly, this was one of my best trips ever!

My family's experience in the Galapagos was such a spiritual and moving trip. The wildlife, scenery and adventures have impacted us in such a positive way. I missed the Galapagos trip so much, that I waited 2 weeks before going through my pictures. I knew that if I browsed my photos and videos right away, the longing to go back to the Galapagos would be overwhelming. Thank you for touching our lives and allowing us to have a family vacation that we will always treasure!

Additional Information:

Important Notes

1) The itinerary is subject to further changes dependent upon new regulations made by the Galapagos National Park or seasonal points of interest. 2) G Adventures requires your passport number, full name and date of birth at the time of booking. Please make sure you give this information to your travel agent. 3) Once you have confirmed your booking please give us your international flight details and advise us if you have any important issues such as allergies, special diets, etc. 4) The Ecuadorian government currently levies a Galapagos Islands Park entry fee of $100 USD per person. This is payable at the airport upon arrival in the park. It is not included in the cost of the tour, and must be paid in CASH. This fee funds Park maintenance and supervision in Galapagos, as well as ecological study, conservation and infrastructure development in Ecuador's other National Parks. Entry fees and the funds they generate for the National Park System are among measures taken by the Ecuadorian government to protect its natural heritage. 5) The Consejo de Gobierno (local government council) have implemented a system of Transit Control Cards at a fee of $20 USD per person. This card is to be purchased in CASH at a counter in the Quito airport before boarding the flight to the Galapagos. Please retain this card along with your passport as you will be required to present this upon arrival to the Galapagos Islands. Please note that this applies to all tourists entering the Galapagos Islands and is a supplement to the existing entry fee to the National Park and is not controlled by tour operators or travel agencies. It is the first of a number of initiatives to track, control and maintain the sustainable tourism targets set out by the Galapagos National Park and the Ecuadorian government in an attempt to preserve the fragile environment of the archipelago. 6) All travellers are required to pay the tax on domestic flights in Ecuador. Foreign travellers are exempt form this, and proving you are indeed a foreign traveller can be done by providing us with your international ticket number (ITN). Travellers who do not submit international ticket numbers at least 30 days prior to Day 1 of their tour will be required to pay the domestic tax on all included flights.

Meals

Eating is a big part of traveling. Travelling with G Adventures you experience the vast array of wonderful food that is available out in the world. Generally meals are not included in the trip price when there is a choice of eating options, to give you the maximum flexibility in deciding where, what and with whom to eat. It also gives you more budgeting flexibility, though generally food is cheap. Our groups tend to eat together to enable you to taste a larger variety of dishes and enjoy each other's company. There is no obligation to do this though. Your leader will be able to suggest favourite restaurants during your trip. For all trips please refer to the meals included and budget information for included meals and meal budgets.
