G Adventures has crafted an in-depth experience for getting to know Viet Nam at a personal level despite this being a comfort tour. Too often tours can be a series of short vignettes that surf the wave tops only and yield a shallow in-country experience at the end of the trip. Not so with G Adventures. I felt like I had the chance to meet people face to face, ask questions about how they lived, and still not have to sleep on the floor to get get close to local folks. Getting around on foot, by various boats, bikes and motorcycles put us into the local environments much more than standard bus tours. Kudos to G Aventures and our CEO!

Really enjoyed the experiences in the trip but most of all it was the CEO who guided us through everything. He was very conscious of what we liked to do and what we didn't and gave us options to meet those desires. June 2015

Was a wonderful experience. I was looking for a trip where I could learn lots about the country, culture and be active without having to do a ton of research before hand. We not only had a great CEO who made that happen but also a great bunch of people on the tour who made the whole experience wonderful.

In my experience of G Adventures tours (Turkey, Vietnam) they are always very well organised, and strike the right balance between adventure, comfort, organised activities and free exploring time. I like the fact that G Adventures employs local guides with a first hand knowledge of the culture and language and the fact that groups are limited to a maximum of 15 people April 2015

I had a fabulous time on my G Adventures tour of Vietnam. The wide variety of activities included in the tour was outstanding which gave me a deeper experience of the local culture, the natural beauty of the country than I could have ever experienced as an independent traveller. Sunny was an excellent guide who was highly organised and motivated, available to answer my questions and made me feel welcome and safe throughout my tour. He encouraged responsible, culturally appropriate behaviours and was active in leading our group. Thanks to G Adventures and Sunny, I had a fabulous tour in Vietnam and will recommend the tour to my family and friends. The quality of accommodation was fabulous as well!

Meals

Eating is a big part of traveling. Travelling with G Adventures you experience the vast array of wonderful food that is available out in the world. Generally meals are not included in the trip price when there is a choice of eating options, to give you the maximum flexibility in deciding where, what and with whom to eat. It also gives you more budgeting flexibility, though generally food is cheap. Our groups tend to eat together to enable you to taste a larger variety of dishes and enjoy each other's company. There is no obligation to do this though. Your CEO will be able to suggest favourite restaurants during your trip. Included breakfasts will usually be asian style consisting of noodles or congee (rice porridge) or bread and eggs. Vegetarians will be able to find a range of different foods, although in some areas the choice maybe limited. While trekking in remote regions food is included, plentiful and made of fresh local ingredients. For all trips please refer to the meals included and budget information for included meals and meal budgets.

Physical Requirements Our small group adventures bring together people of all ages. It is very important you are aware that, as a minimum, an average level of fitness and mobility' is required to undertake our easiest programs. Travellers must be able to walk without the aid of another person, climb 3-4 flights of stairs, step on and off small boats, and carry their own luggage at a minimum. Travellers with a pre-existing medical condition are required to complete a short medical questionnaire, which must be signed by their physician. This is to ensure that travellers have the necessary fitness and mobility to comfortably complete their chosen trip. While our CEOs work hard to ensure that all our travellers are catered for equally, it is not their responsibility to help individuals who cannot complete the day's activities unaided. Please refer to the physical ratings in this Trip Details document for more information. The medical questionnaire can be found online at: www.gadventures.com/medical-form.
Rules & Other Requirements Illegal drugs will not be tolerated on any trips. Possessing or using drugs not only contravenes the laws of the land but also puts the rest of the group at risk. Smoking marijuana and opium is a part of local culture in some parts of the world but is not acceptable for our travellers. Our philosophy of travel is one of respect towards everyone we encounter, and in particular the local people who make the world the special place it is. The exploitation of prostitutes is completely contrary to this philosophy. Our CEOs have the right to expel any member of the group if drugs are found in their possession or if they use prostitutes.
