When it comes to popular travel destinations, Sri Lanka has been off the map for far too long. We think we should change that. This two-week trip that showcases the country’s vibrant cities and beautiful beaches – with a huge helping of culture and history on the side – should convince you. You’ll go from exploring ancient ruins and UNESCO sites to spice gardens and tea plantations, and even take safari wildlife safari drives to see majestic elephants in their natural environment. And with an expert CEO showing you the ins and outs of the country, you’ll get to see Sri Lanka in a way that other travellers don’t.

Very disappointed in the initial booking process as we were left hanging without answers from phone representatives. It was not what we had expected after out previous experiences with G. It was only due to our own efforts to reach a conclusion; and if there had not been other reasons to go in the direction we did, we would not have selected G due to the friction. Second, given the comfort level and small group size the bus tour meal locations were not appreciated. Furthermore the guide did not take the hint from the group and offer an alternative.

Notwithstanding my comments about the itinerary, I had a great time in Sri Lanka. The level of service provided by Chami and at the hotels we stayed in was second-to-none.

This trip was everything I had expected and much more. I learned so much about Sri Lanka and the history through a CEO that was very knowledgeable and had passion for what he does. He called us his family from day and it truly showed from day 1 to the very end. June 2015

Sri Lanka is a country full of amazing surprises. I am not sure the trip would have been as amazing as it was without Sumudu as our CEO. His knowledge and guidance and his ability to persuade everyone to get the most out of their trip was exceptional. He really made my trip to Sri Lanka the very best that it could have been.

Some of our Independent trips are designed differently and solo travellers on these itineraries must pay the single trip price.

Age Notes

Min. Age: You must be 18 to travel unaccompanied on a G Adventures tour. For minors travelling with a guardian over 21 years old, the minimum age is 12.

Physical Requirements Our small group adventures bring together people of all ages. It is very important you are aware that, as a minimum, an average level of fitness and mobility' is required to undertake our easiest programs. Travellers must be able to walk without the aid of another person, climb 3-4 flights of stairs, step on and off small boats, and carry their own luggage at a minimum. Travellers with a pre-existing medical condition are required to complete a short medical questionnaire, which must be signed by their physician. This is to ensure that travellers have the necessary fitness and mobility to comfortably complete their chosen trip. While our CEOs work hard to ensure that all our travellers are catered for equally, it is not their responsibility to help individuals who cannot complete the day's activities unaided. Please refer to the physical ratings in this Trip Details document for more information. The medical questionnaire can be found online at:
Rules & Other Requirements Illegal drugs will not be tolerated on any trips. Possessing or using drugs not only contravenes the laws of the land but also puts the rest of the group at risk. Smoking marijuana and opium is a part of local culture in some parts of the world but is not acceptable for our travellers. Our philosophy of travel is one of respect towards everyone we encounter, and in particular the local people who make the world the special place it is. The exploitation of prostitutes is completely contrary to this philosophy. Our group leader has the right to expel any member of the group if drugs are found in their possession or if they use prostitutes.
