Day 19

TRACY ARM & JUNEAU. This narrow, 26-mile-long fjord is another of Alaska’s most dramatic glacier settings. The lush rainforest recedes to reveal a stunning canyon of bare rock. The panorama of 7,000-foot mountain peaks and nearly vertical rock cliffs is astounding. Waterfalls appear at every turn. Icebergs make their way to the sea in all sorts of wondrous shapes. And tucked away at the end of this remarkable waterway are two very active reminders of the Ice Age—the twin Sawyer Glaciers, which calve icebergs into the jade-colored inland sea. Kittiwakes, mountain goats, and seals are a common sight. Whales and bears may even make an appearance in this magical place. Visit one of the most remote capital cities—Juneau. Accessible only by air and water, Juneau is located at the base of two towering mountains in the heart of Alaska’s Inside Passage, and is home to a rich Gold Rush history, Native culture, wildlife, and a wealth of natural wonders. Shop for gold nuggets, visit the stately Governor’s Mansion, saunter through the swinging doors of the historic Red Dog Saloon, or visit mighty Mendenhall Glacier, an impressive river of ice that is 12 miles long and 1.5 miles wide. (B,L,D)

Day 20

SKAGWAY. Once a major port for gold prospectors who passed through en route to the Yukon, today you can still ride the antique White Pass & Yukon Route narrow-gauge railway up past Deadhorse Gulch to see what it was like ages ago. Step back in time as you stroll the wooden sidewalks of the town, preserved as a U.S. National Historic Park. (B,L,D)

Day 21

SCENIC CRUISING: GLACIER BAY NATIONAL PARK. This Biosphere Reserve and UNESCO World Heritage Site protects a unique ecosystem in an ever-changing glacial landscape. National Park rangers accompany the ship, adding expert commentary to the day’s events. (B,L,D)

Day 22

KETCHIKAN. Experience Native Alaska firsthand. Meet the spirits of the raven, whale, and eagle as you view the largest collection of totems in the world at Saxman Totem Park or Totem Bight State Historic Park. Or, explore Creek Street, now home to contemporary art galleries and quaint boutiques. (B,L,D)

Day 23

SCENIC CRUISING: INSIDE PASSAGE. Take a second spin through Alaska’s Inside Passage to enjoy the spectacular contrast from wide bays of still waters and barrier islands to narrow waterways edged with towering forested cliffs. (B,L,D)

Day 24

The best vacation I ever had!

The Globus vacation, "Kenya: A Classic Safari", was the best vacation I ever had! Globus has a knack for putting the special touches on each trip and, coupled with the EXCELLENT travel guide assigned to our trip, succeeded in making this a trip to be remembered. The breakfast in the bush on the last day was magnificent. The Sundowner, mimosas to watch the sunset as well as the Maasai dance performance, was so memorable! Top notch! I wouldn't hesitate to do this trip again. Thank you, Globus!

Expect no help, ignored, no resolution if issue on tour occurs Rate 0

Rate 0, would never touch Globus or Cosmos tour again. Be warned if there is an issue with your tour - Don't expect Globus to help you or provide a resolution – care factor is nil. Don't risk it - don't buy Globus or Cosmos. Globus and CEO of Globus accepts and approves employee bad behavior - including lying, disrespect and mock client in front of them and putting the client health and safety at risk - I have proof in emails that support this. Had major trouble on a Cosmos 15 night trip in Sicily - 10 nights of 15 nights trip went through extreme stress and no resolution (not during the trip or after rectification).

The tour guide was extremely unprofessional in behavior - lying to clients repeating, tour guide was disrespectful, mock, belittle, laugh about and downgrade clients in front of them in Italian thinking they don't understand what you are saying (clients understood what was said and extremely upset), the tour guide and company ignore risks and forced two of the shared clients to share with another that was an issue (that person should not been allowed to purchase a twin share or should of been told to get own room on tour - sharing with this person posed WHS hazards with power cords hanging mid high across room for their medical equipment (trip hazard) and breach of privacy and access to basic amenities (sharing with a stranger twin share - where can't shut bathroom door to go to toilet or shower - as the only power point is in bathroom and her equipment had to be plugged in for life support). Multiple clients on tour complained to tour guide for 10 days and demanded another room, the tour guide did not deal with it and lied, also mocked and disrespected clients in front of them. While on tour multiple complaints emailed direct to Globus as governing body did nothing and swept it under the table and ignored it. Multiple complaints was lodge after trip as well - still no action or resolution, Multiple complaints alerting CEO of Globus (12 pages letter full examples, photos and correspondence - still no action and I specifically ask CEO questions Does the CEO accept staff bad behaviour and breach of code of conduct - approving Globus staff lying, disrespectful, mocking clients and in Italian too and a whole heap more - I received a call today and YES the CEO of Globus approves the bad behaviour of staff and clients being disrespecting, mocking, lying and more. I travel extensively all over the world for 28 years, no other Tour company does this - all other companies will resolve it. Don't risk it - don't use Globus or Cosmos - if you have an issue you wont get help. Use another tour company - there are plenty of good ones out there who will stand by their service.

italian Escape is fantastic!

My husband and I and a good friend just returned from the Italian Escape in March. We travelled to Rome, Assisi, Florence, Pisa and Venice. What a great trip! Our excursions were wonderful- the Uffizi gallery, Tuscan dinner, Roman walking tour and Venice gondola ride. The tour guide Luca and Lucianna our bus driver did a very nice job. Our hotels, the Cicerone in Rome, the Grand Mediterraneo in Florence and Carlton on the Grand were very nice. (My favorite was the Grand Mediterraneo.)
Our travel connection was Steve in Littleton, Colorado and he was outstanding making our flight AND trip plans.
I was especially impressed with the expert planning on the part of a Globus. We saw so much in a weeks time, yet had plenty of time to experience Rome, Venice and Florence on our own.
We arrived in Rome early the 1st day so we scheduled a Skip the Line tour to visit the inside of the Coloseum, as that wasn’t scheduled on the Globus tour. We are really glad we were proactive in that way.
We HIGHLY recommend this Escape with Globus; we enjoyed it so much the week we got back we scheduled an Ireland Escape for later this year!

Great tour from Los Angeles to Las Vegas

I thought the tour itinerary, tour director and the bus were all fabulous! I liked all of the hotels and their locations except for the Palm Springs Riviera Hotel, I feel it is in need of a major renovation.

The Peru Escape tour was excellent

The Peru Escape tour was excellent! Our tour guide Enrique was extremely knowledgeable and personable. The visit to Machu Picchu was amazing!

I sent an email to you about 2 weeks…

I sent an email to you about 2 weeks ago. I have lost faith and trust with Globus. Eleven of your travelers could easily have filed a suit for being stranded in a foreign country without ability to contact Globus. Shame on you.
Twice, I have traveled with you and twice I have found myself lost and alone in a foreign country.
