You’ll hit three of the top highlights of northern Tanzanian game viewing – the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara – on this safari that begins and ends in Arusha, Tanzania. The itinerary includes guided 4X4 safari vehicle game drives in all three parks and five nights of comfortable safari lodges. You’ll save money by traveling in the off-season, which is November to mid-December, following the great migration.

We can highly recommend Go2Africa! We have recently been to Botswana and Zimbabwe, a trip of a lifetime. The end 2 end service provided by Go2Africa (Natasha) has been exceptional. The support in finding the perfect fit for us has been outstanding. All our questions were answered with passion. Both service by e-mail and phone were polite, professional and fast. Adjustments to better suit our budget were made instantly. We always had the right amount of choices incl. the expert advise. Once the booking was done we were updated regularly about topics that should prepare us for the trip. The trip itself was incredibly smooth. All camp transfers by air and ground were on time and an experience in itself. We enjoyed all the camps we stayed in, especially Gunn's and Pom Pom in Botswana's Okavango Delta. Once again thanks to Natasha @Go2Africa for her perfect support!

Itinerary

DAY 1: Travel to Lake Manyara

Depart Arusha in the afternoon and head south passing through the Masai Steppe with its many African villages and coffee plantations. Continue up out of the Great Rift Valley and enjoy fantastic views over the distant Lake Manyara.

Arrive at the Lake Manyara Serena Lodge in the late afternoon. The camp is located high on a cliff with stunning views across the volcano-studded floor of the Great Rift Valley.

DAYS 2-3: Explore the Serengeti National Park

After breakfast head out on a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. Return to the lodge for lunch before continuing your journey to the Serengeti with some game viewing en route. Marvel at the endless plains as you enjoy peace and tranquility resting on the deck of the Serengeti Serena Lodge, your accommodation for the next two nights.

The next day, enjoy a morning and afternoon game drive in the famous and game-rich Serengeti National Park, searching for the Big 5 and other wildlife.

DAYS 4-5: Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater

Leave the Serengeti behind and drive back through the Ngorongoro Conservancy, viewing game as you go. Arrive at the Serena lodge located high on the rim of Ngorongoro Crater.

After an early breakfast the next morning, descend into the Crater in a safari vehicle for a spectacular morning game drive. The Crater has been declared a World Heritage Site, and is sometimes referred to as the world's biggest wildlife zoo, due to its high density of resident game. After lunch back at the lodge, you’ll have the option to visit a Maasai village where local people have maintained their traditional ways.

DAY 6: Return to Arusha

Departing the Ngorongoro Conservancy descend out of the highlands as you journey pass the Maasai village of Mto wa Mbu for Arusha. Upon arrival in Arusha your safari comes to an end and you continue with your onward travels.
