Day 1: Arrive in Oslo

Arrive in Oslo, where you will be greeted by your private driver and transferred to your hotel. The Norwegian capital is beautifully situated at the head of the Oslo Fjord and surrounded by forested ridges. Oslo offers many well-known sights such as the Vigeland Sculpture Park, the Viking Ship Museum and the Munch Museum. Accommodation at the Thief hotel.

Day 2: On to Lillehammer

After your breakfast, your private driver will take you to the station to go to Lillehammer. On your  arrival,  you  will  need  to  take  a  taxi  to  your  hotel.  You will  have  the  afternoon  in Lillehammer at your own leisure. The well-known ice-skating-ring was built for the 1994 Winter Olympics and has the shape of a turned-over Viking ship. We recommend a visit at Maihaugen Open Air Museum, which tells the story of people in the Gudbrandsdalen Valley the last 300 years, of life between the wars in the inland town of Lillehammer and of homes and domestic environments in the 20th century. Also recommendable is a visit at the Olympic Museum and the Olympic Arena (Lysgårdsbakken). If you overnight in Lillehammer on a Wednesday or Saturday night don’t miss the Huderfossen Winter Park, unique in Europe, located in Hunderfossen. Accommodation at Clarion Collection Hotel Hammer.

Day 3: Trondheim via Train

Today you will leave Lillehammer by train to Trondheim. The 5 hour journey on the Dovre Railway will take you through the Gudbrandsdal Valley and across the Dovre Mountain to Trondheim, Norway’s third largest city. The city was founded by Viking King Olav Tryggvason in 997, and occupies a special place in Norwegian culture and history. Trondheim was Norway’s first capital and continues to be the coronation city where Norway’s Kings from Harald Hårfagre (10th century) to King Harald V (1991) have been crowned and blessed. On your arrival, your private driver will transfer you to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day visiting the Nidaros Cathedral, built over the grave of St. Olav. Next to the cathedral you will find the Archbishop’s Palace, the oldest secular building in Scandinavia. Other sights of interest are Kristiansten Fortress,  the  Monk’s  Island,  Trøndelag  Open  Air  Museum  and  Stiftsgården  –  the  Royal Residence in Trondheim. We also recommend a stroll in Bakklandet, located on the east bank of the river Nid. Here you will find old wooden buildings which were formerly worker’s dwellings but are now partly restored as homes or charming shops and restaurants. Accommodation at Britannia Hotel.

Day 4: Departure with Hurtigruten

After your breakfast, you will be picked up by your private driver to the Hurtigruten terminal for a cruise along the spectacular Norwegian coastline to go to Bergen. You will spend one night and one full day onboard this traditional postal steamer. Accommodation onboard.

Day 5: Arrival in Bergen

Breakfast onboard the Hurtigruten cruise. Arrival in the afternoon in Bergen, Norway’s second largest city. Your private driver will transfer you to your hotel. We recommend a visit to some of Bergen’s  many  attractions,  for  example  the  Hanseatic  Bryggen  Harbour,  the  Fløibanen Funicular,  which  takes  you  up  to  a  height  of  320  meters  above  sea  level  where  you  are presented with a great view over the city, Grieg’s home Troldhaugen, the Fish and Flower Market or the Bergen Aquarium. Accommodation at the Radisson Blu Royal.

Day 6: On to Oslo

Today you leave Bergen, your private driver will pick you up and transport you to the train station for your return to Oslo. The trip from Bergen to Oslo is classed one of the finest train journeys in the world. The railway connects Norway`s two largest cities and presents the variety of  Norwegian  scenery.  Bergen  is  the  only  city  in  the  world  that  is  surrounded  by  seven mountains and seven fjords. On your arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel by your private driver. Accommodation at the Thief.

Day 7: Depart Oslo

After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport by your private driver.

Oslo – The Thief or similar: The Thief is located between the iconic Astrup Fearnley Museum, the canals on Tjuvholmen and the Oslofjord

Timeless elegance with clear references to contemporary art and design is the common denominator  for  Thief  furnishing.  International and Norwegian designers such as Antonio Citterio, Bruno Rainaldi, Tom Dixon, Anne Haavind and StokkeAustad are behind the furniture and decor. The hotel’s own art curator has hand-picked art for  every single  room  and  suite  from the Thief Art collection.

Lillehammer – Clarion Collection Hotel Hammer or similar: Clarion Collection Hotel Hammer is located in central Lillehammer on Storgatan, the city’s well- preserved main street, which became known as the “standing street” during the Winter Olympics in 1994.

Stay in a historical setting here, characterized by the area’s trade history. The interiors draw inspiration from Gudbrandsdalen, where Avlettes were made from cast iron. These waffle irons’ beautiful     patterns     are     replicated     in     the blankets and bedspreads.

Trondheim – Britannia Hotel or similar: The Britannia Hotel has been the traditional, international  hotel  in Trondheim  for  more than 110 years. Today the hotel offers 247 unique rooms.    The hotel’s majestic main wing has comfortable and classic rooms with individual character.

Bergen – Radisson Blu Royal or similar: By the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Bryggen Wharf, 950 feet from the fish market, you can find the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel.

Note: Limited Availability, some hotels may not be available. Prices are per person, do not include taxes.
