Short Description

This spectacular tour completely immerses you in the magnificent scenery and cultural history of one of Southeast Asia’s most amazing countries. The tour begins in the unique hill city of Dalat, where French influence and a unique climate have molded a Vietnamese city into something really special. Here you will marvel at the beautiful local waterfalls and surrounding countryside; it is here that the famous Trung Nguyen coffee is grown. The tour concludes in another unique town, Hoi An; possibly the most beautiful town in Vietnam. The Ancient town here is a UNESCO World Heritage site. From here you can take in another, Hue and the famous Complex of Monuments.

Groups are between 25-60 people, typically ~30-40. Usually there will be many opportunities to split off and enjoy meals and excursions in smaller groups. This is the most economical way to travel, saving up to 40% versus booking the same itinerary yourself.

Itinerary

Day 1: Da Lat

Following a delicious breakfast you will leave the metropolis of Ho Chi Minh City and visit the wonderful Dambri Waterfall, before moving on to Dalat, a journey of about 5 hours. Dalat is a unique town, with French and Vietnamese influences providing the city almost with the feel of an Alpine town. The pine-covered hills surrounding the city add to this ambience.

Day 2: Buon Me Thuot

Your day begins with a scenic 4-hour drive to Buon Me Thuot, stopping for an delightful lunch, en route. We carry on to the Krong Ana River and the picturesque Dray Sap and Dray Nur Waterfalls. A walk along the banks of the river, provide even better views of the beautiful waterfalls.

Day 3: Kon Tum

On this day we travel into the famous coffee growing area and to the village of Trung Nguyen, famous for its particular brand of rich dark coffee. Enjoy drinking a cup as you soak up the incredible mountain scenery. Moving on, we take a 5-hour drive, again through incredible scenery, to Kon Tum town. Your time here is free and it is worth considering paying a local guide to take you to the amazing ethnic hill-tribe villages in the surrounding area.

Day 4: Hoi An / Danang

Today we travel to one of the prettiest towns imaginable. Hoi An is a truly wonderful place, the Ancient Town here is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Hoi An Museum of History and Culture has many secrets to share about the local customs and culture. If you wish, you can take a fascinating cookery class while you are here.

Day 5: Hoi An / Da Nang

We take a morning tour of a colorful, local market. These places are bursting with life and make for great photo opportunities. Following this, we take a short cruise on the Thu Bon River, visiting the pretty island of Cam Nam. After pausing to enjoy the gorgeous views we return to Hoi An where we will visit the Ancient Town, either on foot or by bicycle. You’ll love the Fukien Assembly Hall with its lovely architecture and the inspiring Japanese Wooden Covered Bridge.

Day 6: Hue

This day starts with a drive through picturesque countryside to the Imperial City of Hue. The route is exceptionally pretty with views of the Son Tra Mountain and the Marble Mountains. We stop off at the Lang Co fishing village to enjoy a great lunch. The journey to Hue continues after lunch.

Day 7: Hue

This is a relaxing day spent cruising the River in a dragon boat to visit the Thien My Pagoda, thenstrolling through the fortress of the citadel and the palace grounds. You will cruise up river to visit the fascinating Tombs of the Emperors. The tombs are steeped in history and tell the story of part of Vietnam’s history.

Day 8: Hue

Your last day of this tour is sent in Hue, and what more perfect way to spend it than relaxing at the hot springs at My An and Thanh Tan. The soothing waters will leave you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. Alternatively you may wish to travel outside the city to relax on the beach at Thuan An. The pure white sand and crystal clear water is the perfect place to relax, before you afternoon transfer to PhuBai International airport for your departure.

This was the exact trip we were hoping for. We had such a great time traveling through Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia and made some amazing memories in each country. Luang Prabang was simply stunning, Vietnam’s cities were vibrant and culturally fascinating (our side trip to Halong Bay was beautiful) and Cambodia was quite the eye opening experience. Mr. Panha perfectly balanced out the shocking recent history in Phnom Penh with the timeless beauty of Angkor Wat. His “Cambodian smile” was always warming up the atmosphere as well- so pleasant traveling with him! A highly recommended trip!

We had Stephen from My Way Travel arrange our Halong Bay trip. He organized our airport transfers (from when we landed in Hanoi), hotel pickups to the port, guides, drivers and everything else. We opted for the 3 day Signature Cruise which took us through Bai Tu Long Bay, giving us a much more private, less touristy experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our cruise and our stay on the boat was equally as enjoyable. A big thanks to Stephen for turning us on to such a wonderful & alternative Halong Bay experience. He was extremely timely, professional and flexible working with our travel needs and budget. If you’re looking for an amazing company to book your trip through, check out My Way Travel and ask for Stephen!

Not having the least bit of knowledge of Southeast Asia, we reached out to My Way Travel for help booking our 3 week tour. We were put in touch with one of the company’s associates (Emily), who helped make sense of the jumbled mess we had tried to plan on our own. Emily came back with an amazing itinerary that hit all the best spots between Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos, with some amazing suggestions added in as well. The trip that resulted from her itinerary was something that we will probably talk about for the rest of our lives. From the hotels, guides and private drivers (we felt like royalty) to the amazing destinations (particularly Hoi An, Halong Bay, Siem Reap & Luang Prabang), we were simply amazed at the plethora of things the region had to offer. We never felt rushed but still managed to see a great deal of the three countries. Emily kept in touch with us for our entire tour, always checking in to make sure that things were up to par. It was total service and commitment that truly went above and beyond. If you’re planning a trip to one of these (or all of these) places, do yourself a favor and let the professionals do the work. The total cost fit well within our budget and we didn’t end up wasting any of our precious vacation time! Big thanks to Emily and My Way Travel for such an incredible experience!

I JUST returned from my trip to Southeast Asia and was quite moved by the travel experience. I flew into Bangkok for a short stay before making my way to Siem Reap. My Way Travel had a wonderful guide waiting for me there to take me through the Angkor Complex and ultimately down to Phnom Penh (via river, which was quite the cool experience!). Upon arriving in the capital, I visited the Genocide Museum & Killing Fields- quite the raw experience. It was so striking to reflect on the joy, kindness and generosity I received from the Cambodian people, even after they’ve been through such a tumultuous history. I made my way through the Mekong into Vietnam, where I ended my tour in Ho Chi Minh. The Cu Chi Tunnel Complex & War Remnants Museum stood out above all the other experiences and really topped off my time in Southeast Asia. I went back home feeling so much more informed, appreciative and thankful of my own background. A big shout out to My Way Travel for such an eye opening experience, I can’t thank you enough.
