Highlights
  • Grand Canyon Rafting on the Colorado River
  • Explore Redwall Cavern & Nautiloid Canyon
  • Hike to Nankoweep & explore Native American ruins
  • Raft 19 major rapids like Unkar, Hance, Sockdolager & Grapevine
  • Lees Ferry rafting to Phantom Ranch ends with a hike out on Bright Angel Trail

This 87-mile section of the Colorado River is an excellent introduction to the Grand Canyon as the rapids progress from moderate to extra large and the cliffs and rock layers rise higher and higher. We see some of the most striking and vibrantly colored limestone cliffs as we pass Arizona's Marble Canyon. Our Grand Canyon adventure includes visits to Native American ruins, the fern-fringed spring of Vasey’s Paradise, the cool recess of Redwall Cavern, ancient fossils and a swim in the turquoise blue Little Colorado. At the end of the week of floating, hiking and camping in the Grand Canyon's majesty, we arrive at the boat beach near Phantom Ranch, deep in the Granite Gorge. After a final night in the canyon, this Grand Canyon rafting trip concludes with a dramatic 9.7 mile hike up to the South Rim the following morning.

Our tour guide Yeti was amazing! He was very knowledgeable and made our adventure such an awesome experience! I recommend anyone doing a rafting adventure out of Vernal, UT for Dinosaur National Monument to request him as a guide because he will make it a trip you won't forget. We did the Green River- Split Mountain Canyon adventure and the scenery was so breathtaking. Next time we will be booking the 4 day trip to soak it all in. O.A.R.S. you all are rockstars! From the booking process to the actual trip, I'd recommend you guys 100 times over to anyone! Thank you for the great memory!

Just returned from Cataract Canyon 4 day rafting trip with Christian, Dasia, Ben and Garth - and our experience was unforgettable and full of fun - as well as education. When I stepped off the raft for the last time I knew I had gained some much needed perspective about our beautiful country, the value of our natural resources and also had shed some of my day-to-day "uptightness" and replaced it with a sense of adventure and fun. The guides made us feel safe, they were always upbeat and pleasant, we were fed extremely well, and they had the process down to a relaxed science.
Extra big shout out to Garth who kept his cool and made a tricky drop where he and I got a little caught up just a great story to retell instead of a less pleasant one. Would definitely go again!
Pro Tip: don't over pack. Trust me. You will wear the same stuff for 4 days pretty much. Just be cool with that. Quick dry washable sportswear- a couple long sleeve shirts and a couple pairs of shorts - and a couple swim suits and or cotton sari, big brimmed hat, quick dry camping towels, wipes, Camp Suds/Dr. Bronners biodegradable wash, plastic zip locks (so much sand!) warm layers for evening, a great big water bottle, more sunscreen and Chapstick than you think you will need and some quality flow through water shoes, and your "just in case" waterproof outer gear. And maybe waterproof camera/binoculars. It all gets moved to their bags before you take off. No need to bring a big backpack rig. A portable telescope would have been my only luxury addition if I could do it over again, as Christian was incredible knowledgeable about the night skies and we had some spectacular star gazing.

We completed the Tuolumne river tour this past weekend and truly loved the experience. Our tour guide, Joel, was amazing! My family and I had a great time and can't wait to do it again. I was a little nervous prior to the trip as this was my first time rafting, however, the staff make sure you are comfortable, you know what to expect, and maintain safety at all times, while still keeping the trip as exciting as ever! I loved it and definitely recommend others to jump in and explore the white waters!

Just returned from the Green River 4 day. The food was amazing. The other families we went with were fabulous. We traveled through phenomenal landscapes of the most spectacular scenery.
Our trip leader Charlie and his team of guides Yetty, Liz, Joe & Andrew, were a perfect balance of fun and responsible; each capable of easing nervous guests while keeping the gung-ho guests on their toes. (We had one of each)
And here's the best part - my 2 kids walked off that river absolutely empowered! There is no doubt in their minds of their own capability. Nothing could ever be more important to this mom and I am beyond impressed!!
Thank you OARS & Charlie!
