Short Description

Greece is a land of history, culture, nightlife and beauty. It brought the world democracy, drama, philosophy, the Olympic Games, literature and significant contributions to mathematics and science. All of this, in spite of, or because of, it's checkered and chaotic past. ROW visits this incredible country on a 8 to 10-day yacht tours of the Aegean Coast, exploring historical sites, shopping, mingling and soaking up the vibrant nightlife. Our small groups tour multiple islands aboard a few of the most trusted ships under the care of our Greek Captain and crew.

Small ship cruises usually have a max passenger count of 500. The primary purpose of these trips is to spend time off the vessel in local ports (e.g. Mediterranean) or experiencing nature (e.g Galapagos or Antarctica). Cabins can vary from budget to luxury.

Enjoy spectacular views. Dinner aboard. overnight at Santorini. The environment of this island is totally different from any of the other Cycladic islands. Often referred to as the "Prehistoric Pompeii of the Aegean" due to the geological changes which transformed this island. A volcanic explosion which took place 3500 years ago is believed to have been responsible for the annihilation of the Minoan civilization in Crete, which lies 70 miles southwards. It is also believed that Santorini or Thira as the locals call it is part of the legendary lost continent of Atlantis which disappeared when the volcano erupted. Whatever might be believed, Santorini is a minefield of archaeological interest featuring ancient Thira and Akrotiri with remains of its Minoan town. The island is renowned for itsunique views and colorful sunsets.

Day: 4 - Santorini – Antiparos- Paros Breakfast.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner

Morning sail to Paros, one of the most beautiful islands of the Cyclades. Swimming stop at Antiparos.Lunch. Arrival at18:30 to Paros (Paroikia or Naousa). Paros has in recent years developed into a modern tourist center and is one of the few Cycladic islands filled with gently undulating hills which contain the famous Parian marble - the marble with which the Acropolis was built.

The picturesque approach to the island is via the town of Parikia, the main port and capital of the island, built on the site of the ancient city. A ruined Venetian castle situated in the present market place, adds to the colour of Parikia, with its narrow cobble-paved streets, white-washed houses decorated with pots of colorful geraniums and fragrant basil. One of the most impressive and respected shrines of Byzantine architecture can be found in the form of the Holy Church of Ekatondapiliani, or roughly translated means the church of 100 doors.

Day: 5 - Paros – Naxos

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner

Morning leisure in Paros.Sail for Naxos. Swimming stop & lunch. Arrival At Naxos Port .Visit. Overnight. This island known as the island of the "Virgin Mary", is unique for its 800 odd dovecotes artistically designed and built, and scattered over the entire island. Every year on the 15th August thousands of pilgrims from all over Greece gather to honor the Virgin Mary and Her icon which is said to have miraculous properties. However Tinos also has a tradition of being the home of many sculptors and craftsmen. A fine arts school operating on the island is well worth a visit for those interested in fine works of art.

Day: 6 - Naxos – Myconos

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner

Sail after breakfast for Myconos - the most cosmopolitan island with dazzling white houses, excellent shopping & entertainments. Enjoy spectacular sunset & Greek dancing. Swimming stop & lunch. Proceeding Myconos Marina at 18:30 Overnight. Although barren and full of windmills, Mykonos is one of the most cosmopolitan of the Greek islands, attracting world renowned socialites, intellectuals and artists. From its harbor, full of small fishing boats bobbing side-by-side with luxurious yachts, one can walk through narrow white-washed alleys, see dazzling white cubed-shaped houses with brightly painted wooden doors and windows, plus a myriad of tiny blue-domed churches. Famous for its zany nightlife, Mykonos has also much to offer those searching for the cultural history of the island. The church of PARAPORTIANI is considered to be an architectural masterpiece. The archaeological museum exhibits some very interesting finds, most of which were excavated from the "necropolis" or dead city on the little islet of RINEIA.

Day: 7 - Myconos / Delos / Tinos

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner

Departure after breakfast to Delos - the sacred island of Apollo. Delos, the mythical birthplace of Apollo and Artemis. On a guided tour, you’ll visit the archaeological ruins of this UNESCO World Heritage Site, unearthed here in the 19th century. Delos is a true open-air museum with many ancient monuments and buildings that are remarkably intact. Except from the guards and the guides the island is not inhabited. Swim & lunch.

Proceed to Tinos –the Holy Island. Visit. Overnight. This island known as the island of the "Virgin Mary” is unique for its 800 odd dovecotes artistically designed and built, and scattered over the entire island. Every year on the 15th August thousands of pilgrims from all over Greece gather to honor the Virgin Mary and Her icon which is said to have miraculous properties. However Tinos also has a tradition of being the home of many sculptors and

craftsmen. A fine arts school operating on the island is well worth a visit for those interested in fine works of art.

I've had the privilege of working with ROW Adventures all over the world as a filmmaker. Having been on so many trips, both domestic and international, I have a pretty good knowledge as to how this company operates.

A few things stand out on every ROW trip, regardless of destination. First being the guides. These are people who genuinely love what they do. They're passionate, attentive, professional, safety-oriented, friendly, and generally fun people to be around. They're accommodating to individual needs and do their best to make sure you are comfortable and enjoying your vacation to the maximum.

The next thing that stands out is the food. It doesn't matter if you're on a 6 day whitewater rafting and camping trip, the food is gourmet. Prime rib, chicken mole, salmon, eggs Benedict, and a variety of expansive sandwhich spreads are just a few examples of ROW's typical "camp" food.

Perhaps their best feature though, is their emphasis on human connection. In the end, these are trips that are very often life changing. ROW is dedicated to curating life changing experiences that draw families closer to each other, create new friendships between guests and guides, and educate everyone involved about how tourism can work to the continued protection of our great outdoors.

If you're looking at booking an adventure trip, whether it be in North America or abroad, I would recommend ROW Adventures in a heartbeat.
They're a top-notch company in all the areas that count, and I would book them for any trip in the future.

Ship Name

The agean lady OR The Harmony V

Ship Description

The Agean Lady

This beautiful ship not only has a rustic, classic feel but all of the comfort you'd expect to see inside a private yacht.   The vessel holds a crew of seven and is able to board up to 20 guests for one of our relaxing Grecian cruises. Some of the more fun, nautically-minded amenities include access to fishing and snorkeling equipment, water skiing and more.

Relax and find privacy in your sleeping quarters, equipped with air conditioning and enough space in your lodging to enjoy privacy and relaxation. Travel in style and comfort as you hop around the Greek islands, enjoying the rich history and culture that will inspire and take your breath away. The Aegean Lady will provide a sailing experience you won't soon forget.

The Harmony V

The Harmony V is a modern elegant yacht with a sleek high-tech look very similar to the private yachts to be found in the famous ports of the world. The 150 feet long long and 25 feet wide Mega-Yacht was launched in June 2009 and complies with Eurosolas safety regulations while its powerful engines, generators and state of the art twin stabilizers will allow for safe and comfortable cruising.

A spacious lounge with classy seating and an American Bar leads into a dining area decorated with warm colors. Both areas offer large windows providing for the most beautiful views of all destinations the ship cruises to. The 200 m2 sundeck offers a shaded outdoor area for all day dining and a bar as well as sun chairs and loungers. The swimming platform on Harmony V stern will allow for easy access to the ship and for a wide range of sea related activities.
