Itinerary

Day 1: Your Adventure in Argentina, starts in Buenos Aires

Welcome to Argentina!

Capital of Argentina and described as the Paris of South America, Buenos Aires proudly embraces this title, as well as shows off plenty of its own culture! Explore the traditional European architecture, the cobbled streets lined with rustic outdoor cafes, the local antique and artisanal markets that offer plenty of bargain shopping, and the mouthwatering aroma of prized Argentine beef sizzling on an open “parrrilla” (barbeque) in the air. Buenos Aires is home to some excellent local designers and you will certainly find the perfect leather jacket, long leather boots and handbags for all occasions. Though above all, Buenos Aires is known as the home of the tango. Be sure to enjoy a traditional dinner-tango show and explore the colorful San Telmo and Recoleta neighborhoods.

Upon arrival in Buenos Aires you will be met at the airport and have a transfer in private to your hotel.

You will have the rest of the day to enjoy this vibrant city, leaving you the remainder of the day to explore the historic neighborhoods and enjoy the cafe culture of Buenos Aires.

Day 2: Buenos Aires City Tour & Tango Show

In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel to enjoy our City Tour.

Over the course of a half day you will have the chance to visit the historical and political centre of the city; San Telmo with its cobblestone streets, La Boca where Buenos Aires turns colorful and tango is ever present, and the chic and aristocratic Recoleta, where the big palaces remind us that Buenos Aires was once the Paris of the South.

In the evening you will be picked up from your hotel (shared service) to be driven to one of Buenos Aires’ most emblematic cultural highlight’s; a Dinner and Tango Show offering a spectacular demonstration of the finest local dancing accompanied by delicious Argentine cuisine and all the malbec you’d like.

At the end of the evening you will be driven back to your hotel.

Day 3: Buenos Aires Tours

Day at leisure to explore the cobbled tree lined streets of Palermo Soho in search of one of a kind Porteño fashion, to sit in café and enjoy perfectly aged glass of malbec, or perhaps to sip yerba mate (local tea) out of your newly purchased mate gourd while people watching in one of the parks that make up the Palermo Bosques.

Day 4: From Buenos Aires to Posadas & Iberá Wetlands

At appropriate time, you will be picked up at your hotel and driven to the domestic airport for your flight to Posadas.

This is part of our Mesopotamia; land of wild animals, jungle, wetlands, isolated estancias, gauchos and horses.

The Esteros are the second-largest wetlands in world after Pantanal in Brazil. Iberá is also one of the most important fresh water reservoirs in the continent.

The Estancia, typical gaucho environment, will be the perfect base to explore the area. Much more a family house than a hotel, the home made prepared meals will be included, and will allow you to taste local flavors that are generally not served in restaurants.

Once in the Estancia you will have the afternoon to explore the beautiful secluded countryside on foot or via horseback.

Day 5: Ibera Wetlands Tours: nature & wildlife

After breakfast we will sail towards the Corriente Stream where an unforgettable fauna watching is expecting us amongst the very well-known floating islands of the Iberá lagoon.

The “embalsados” are floating islands made up of aquatic roots and sediments. Their thickness may vary from few centimetres up to two metres allowing the 150 kg marsh deer to walk easily on them. These islands are able to move from place to place due to the area´s strong winds making the geography of the lagoon to change constantly, which has given rise to many of its varied legends.

In many parts of this tour, engines are silenced and with the help of the pole the boat is drifted along the smaller streams and aquatic vegetation.

Here the greatest concentration of fauna is to be found: capybaras, marsh deer, neo-tropical river otters, the two types of caimans, as well as a large variety (350 species) of aquatic birds.

Day 6: Estancia/ Posadas / Puerto Iguazu

In the morning, you’ll be picked up to be driven to Posadas airport

Once you arrive in Posadas you’ll take the public bus to Puerto Iguazu (300km). This journey takes about 5 hours.

Upon arrival in Puerto Iguazu, you will be taken to your hotel at which point you will have the afternoon to relax and enjoy the tropical climate and jungle setting, private service.

Day 7: Iguazu Falls Tours: Argentine Side

After breakfast you will depart on a private, full day tour to the Argentine side of the Iguazu Falls where you will have intimate views of this unforgettable section of the Iguazu River. An experienced guide will show you the hidden gems of this unique National Park and will take you off the beaten path to show you the best views.

Lower and upper walkways permit up close and personal experiences with this magnificent spectacle of nature. Trails through the 210 square mile reserve provide visitors with various views of the Falls, especially the largest one, Devil's Throat. The ecological train ride is included in the tour. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon.

This day will be a real adventure, full of thrills and spills, and is an absolute must for the adventurer at heart.

Day 8: Iguazu Falls Tours: Brazilian Side

After breakfast, enjoy a private, half day excursion to the Brazilian side of the Iguazu Falls where you will enjoy vast panoramic views of the Falls allowing you to take them in their entirety.

Day 9: From Puerto Iguazu to Rio de Janeiro (Brazil)

At appropriate time, you will be transferred to Foz de Iguaçu airport to take the flight to Rio de Janeiro, private service.

Upon arrival in Rio de Janeiro you will be taken to your hotel at which point you will have the remained for the day to explore the lively city or spend time relaxing by the beach, private service.

Welcome to Rio de Janeiro!!

The exotic mix of beach and mountains, colonial neighborhoods and modernist style, with the vibrant sound of Samba everywhere, made this city to be nominated in the book “A thousand places to see before you die” as the most beautifully sited city on the globe.

Day 10: Rio de Janeiro Tours - FD Santa Teresa, Corcovado & Tijuca Forest

After breakfast, you will leave on the tour that begins with a visit to Santa.Teresa, a traditional district with a mild climate and big houses from the beginning of the century, built mainly by English railroad managers. In our days, it became an art center with lots of craftsmanship galleries and the only district in Rio where we can find the trolley car.

Then you will head to the Corcovado Hill, located in the Tijuca Atlantic Forest, the largest urban forest in the world, is the statue of Christ the Redeemer, one of Rio’s most famous postcards.

The Corcovado Hill, together with D.Marta belvedere, is a mandatory tour in Rio for the beauty of the sightseeing from both locations. From the Corcovado, you will see the beaches of Copacabana, Ipanema and Leblon, the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon and the Botanical Garden. From the D. Marta belvedere, the main attractions are the Maracanã stadium, the Guanabara Bay and the Sugar Loaf.

This tour includes a small walk in a forest trail up to the Cascatinha Fall. Return to the hotel.

Day 11: Rio de Janeiro Tours to Sugar Loaf Tour

In the morning you will depart on Half Day excursion (private service), this tour begins with a city panoramic view through downtown Rio, passing by the Sambodrome, the Metropolitan Cathedral, in pyramid form, with internal diameter of 96 meters and height of 80 meters. Get to know the traditional Cinelândia square with historical buildings, the Municipal Theater, the National Library and the National Museum of Fine Arts. By taking the Aterro do Flamengo, you will be taken to the neighborhood of Urca where it is located one of the largest symbols of the city: the Sugar Loaf. This visit is made in two steps by cable car. The first cable car takes passengers to Urca Hill which is 215 meters high and from where one can have a beautiful view from the Guanabara Bay and its islands, the Rio-Niterói bridge and Corcovado hill. From this stage, a second cable car will be taken up to the top with 395 meters to find a splendid view from Copacabana beach, the Santa Cruz fortress and some beaches of Niterói.

Day 12: Rio de Janeiro

At an appropriate time, you will be taken to the international airport to take your flight back home, private service.

"I learned about Say Hueque through the internet – mainly trip advisor. It was an easy choice to work with you because there were not many available recommended tours. I also liked the easy communication through the online chat and that it was possible to make last minute bookings. I also consulted my sister who owns a travel agency in Singapore and she mentioned that the prices offered by you guys seem quite reasonable.
Being able to make changes to my tour at the very last minute was my highlight of traveling with you - thank you for helping to arrange! The tours were also in very small groups of just 3 people so it was more cozy. Hotel Peninsula Valdes was ok, didn't stay at other hotels.
My favorite excursion was Doradillo excursion but this was done by another tour agency (i think it's Flamenco travel as Huinca travel didn't have available tours. Huinca travel was really great in being able to help me do the last minute arrangements too). In addition to watching the whales, the guide took us to other locations which had beautiful views and we even went on a mini trek!
The initial itinerary provided to me had a tour to Punta Tombo to see the penguins, and I was only told that Punta Tombo is not available AFTER i made confirmed the tour by making the payments. The itinerary provided should have been an up-to-date one since it is customized. I had 2 options as replacement for my Punta Tombo tour (2nd day): Punta Loma and Doradillo. Initially i chose Punta Loma but on the whale watching tour during the first day, the guide told me that the sea lions are in the Valdes area and not Punta Loma this season so Punta Loma would be pretty empty.....hence i made the last minute request to change to Doradillo. This was a lucky decision for me because i met other tour customers who went to Punta Loma and told me there was no sea lions to see at all. While I' m happy that you guys managed to grant my last minute request, this information should have been made known to me when the tours were offered also to avoid disappointment.
Thanks!

"We just returned from a 3week South America trip. It was great.
We searched on internet and learned about Say Hueque. We decided to travel with you because the comments over the 6day trip Attacama-Uyuni were really good.
I would say our highlight were the good guides who gave lots of information. We only stayed in e one hotel, the Don Tomas hotel in San Pedro.
We had short excursions and one large: the three day 4wd to Uyuni. The El Tunio exursions was great. Early to get up but worth it. The 4wd tour was awesome with highlights and depths (the overnight stay in the refugee: ‘basic’ accommodation was an understatement). Although an experience, it took many hours to recover from it.
I forgot the name of the guide to the El Tunio geysers – he was awesome (I believe he is an San Pedro artist). He gave lots of information, in Spanish and English and full of humor

"Mendoza and surrounding area is beautiful. I have appreciated the checkins at both locations.
I would like to say that there are some parts of my trip that were great and others that were not that good unfortunately.
The airport transfers have been wonderful and very timely. The hotels have been beautiful and clean; with staff being very helpful.
However, the tours and some aspects of the tours were very disappointing. I am aware there was an error for the city tour pick up. I am greatful that alternative plans were arranged allowing me to see the great historical elements of Buenos Aires. However, the tour was rushed. I had the opportunity to walk around certain monuments. However, I did not get the chance to walk around and explore the different areas for extended periods of time. I think I was expecting a walking tour and I am not sure if the usual tour involves driving around to different sites. The Tango show and meal was amazing.
The tours I have had with Huenata are well organized however, I was placed in all Spanish group for both of the tours. The tour guides were able to speak in both Spanish and English however; it was difficult for me to interact with the group. As a solo traveller group tours are usually the opportunity to met and socialize with different people. I was looking forward to seeing award winning vineyards in Mendoza and unfortunately the wine tour was average.
The full day tour through Acongua mountains to Uspallata was absolutely beautiful! However, the restaurant we went to for a late lunch was not good. The service was poor and the food was very poor. This meal cost 200 pesos; for a meal that was half eaten. I paid 280 pesos for a fantastic meal at the hotel. The full day tour should include lunch.
I thought I would be getting a better quality for the tours especially considering it is low season. I am not sure that this tour has given me great value for my money.
Thank you,

Olivia
