Day 1: Travel to Argentina & Chile - First stop Buenos Aires

Welcome to Argentina!

Capital of Argentina and described as the Paris of South America, Buenos Aires proudly embraces this title, as well as shows off plenty of its own culture! Explore the traditional European architecture, the cobbled streets lined with rustic outdoor cafes, the local antique and artisanal markets that offer plenty of bargain shopping, and the mouthwatering aroma of prized Argentine beef sizzling on an open “parrrilla” (barbeque) in the air. Buenos Aires is home to some excellent local designers and you will certainly find the perfect leather jacket, long leather boots and handbags for all occasions. Though above all, Buenos Aires is known as the home of the tango. Be sure to enjoy a traditional dinner-tango show and explore the colorful San Telmo and Recoleta neighborhoods.

Upon arrival in Buenos Aires you will be met at the airport and have a transfer in private to your hotel.

You will have the rest of the day to enjoy this vibrant city, leaving you the remainder of the day to explore the historic neighborhoods and enjoy the cafe culture of Buenos Aires.

Day 2: Buenos Aires City Tour & Tango Show

In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel to enjoy our City Tour.

Over the course of a half day you will have the chance to visit the historical and political centre of the city; San Telmo with its cobblestone streets, La Boca where Buenos Aires turns colorful and tango is ever present, and the chic and aristocratic Recoleta, where the big palaces remind us that Buenos Aires was once the Paris of the South.

Duration; 3- 4 hours

In the evening you will be picked up from your hotel to be driven to one of Buenos Aires’ most emblematic cultural highlight’s; a Dinner and Tango Show offering a spectacular demonstration of the finest local dancing accompanied by delicious Argentine cuisine and all the malbec you’d like.

At the end of the evening you will be driven back to your hotel.

Day 3: From Buenos Aires to Bariloche, Patagonia Adventure

At appropriate time, you will be picked up at your hotel and driven (private service) to the domestic airport for your flight to Bariloche. If the sky is clear, on landing, you will get to see the contrast of blue Nahuel Huapi lake, white peaks of the Andes and the green of the forest.

Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel (shared service) and have the afternoon at leisure.

Day 4: Bariloche History & Nature

Today you will start enjoying the highlights of the Lake District.

In the morning you will be picked up from your hotel to go along the highlights circuit of San Carlos de Bariloche. During approx. 5 hours, and accompanied by a guide, you will visit important viewpoints, like Cerro Campanario (“Campanario Hill”)- considered by the National Geographic as the 8th best view of the world.

When lunch time is getting closer, you´ll be provided with a home-made lunch box, in order to get the energy to continue enjoying!

Finally, you will do a nature oriented walk through the impressive native forest on the Llao-llao Nature Park.

Day 5: Bariloche

Day at leisure to enjoy the magnificent scenery. Visit any of the chocolate factories, walk along the lake shore o take one of the many Optional Tours available in the area.

Day 6: Cruise: Lake Crossing to Chile, Patagonia

In the morning, you will be taken to Puerto Pañuelo to start the Lake Crossing to Chile.

This journey includes crossing the Andean lakes partly by boat and partly on bus through the various unpaved passes to the other side.

The pristine lake waters and the mountains on both sides are an embodiment of calmness and peace. During the trip you will cross Lago Nahuel Huapi where it is joined by the Rio Negro with its ethereal green waters (due to the suspended minerals reflecting the sunlight), Lago Frias, with its completely different colors, and Lago Esmeralda (Lago Todos los Santos).

The lakes, surrounded by Tronador Mountain, Osorno volcano and Volcan Punta Gudo, as well as protected and untouched forest are a gift from the nature that you will experience in a long day that deserves every minute.

The Andean Lakes Crossing is the most scenic way to travel from Argentina to Chile.

The trip finishes in your hotel in Puerto Varas.

Day 7: Puerto Varas

Gate of Chilean Lake District, beautiful Puerto Varas is settled in the shores of Llanquihue Lake, with the back of Osorno Volcano.

The area with big German influence, its wooden houses, alerce trees, and German Jesuit churches is a wonderful place to enjoy any of the outdoor available options (from Osorno Volcano trekking, to Petrohue rapids, including options to visit the nearby little German style towns).

Or maybe you prefer just to relax on the shore of the lake, tasting one of the locally brewed delicious beers.

Day 8: The Patagonia adventure continues: Puerto Varas - Punta Arenas – Puerto Natales

At appropriate time, you will be transferred to Puerto Montt airport to take your flight to Punta Arenas.

Upon arrival, you will be transferred to Puerto Natales, in private service.

Welcome to Southern Patagonia!

Day 9: Torres Del Paine Tour

In the early morning you will be picked up for the full day excursion to Torres del Paine National Park.

Along the road you might be able to see rheas, guanacos, Patagonian hare, and even condors.

Keep an eye out for wild guanacos as they roam the windy plains.

It is a long day, but we believe it deserves every hour. Some of the wonders of the world renowned park that you will visit will be Salto Grande, Laguna Amarga, Lago Pehoe, the Cuernos del Paine and of course, the famous Torres del Paine.

In the evening you’ll be dropped off at your hotel to stay the night inside the park.

Day 10: Torres Del Paine National Park

Torres del Paine is one of the most beautiful protected areas of South America, and for sure the best way to explore it is by foot.

If you like hiking and nature, this should be one of the highlights of your trip.

From owls to deer, from condors to guanacos, from orchids to blueberries, with the back of the impressive granite massif, this magnificent place is breathtaking.

Some of the trekking options include the full day to the base of the magnificent Torres del Paine, ideal for trekkers, the intense blue of the Grey Glaciar or the unforgettable view of the French Valley.

Please check with our travel Advisor which are the best options from your hotel location.

Day 11: Torres Del Paine / El Calafate

At appropriate time, you will be taken to the Park Entrance in Laguna Amarga. Once there you will take your bus to El Calafate.

El Calafate is located in the Patagonian steppe, dry and dramatic.

It is on the border of Lago Argentino (Argentina’s biggest lake), considered capital of the glaciers. It is the gate to visit worldwide known Perito Moreno Glacier, one of the only glaciers in the world that is still advancing.

Upon arrival you will be taken to the hotel and have the rest of the day to relax or explore the areas around the town or possible make the 1km hike out to Laguna Nimez for a beautiful Patagonian sunset.

Day 12: El Calafate: Perito Moreno Glacier

After an early breakfast, you will leave on a full day excursion to Perito Moreno Glacier (shared service), in Los Glaciers National Park. A UNESCO World Heritage site since 1981 and home to one of the most awe inspiring landscapes in Argentina; Perito Moreno Glacier is a site to behold.

During about 1 hour a bilingual guide will provide you with all the information you might want to know, and things you might have never thought about.

On arrival you will have the chance to enjoy stunning views of the glacier from the nearby walking trail and viewing platforms.

But not just that, you will also enjoy the included Perito Moreno Glacier boat cruise that will take you close enough to fully appreciate the 80m high ice walls! In the early evening, you will return to you hotel in Calafate.

Duration: 6 hours

If you prefer to have a private tour (private vehicle and private guide) ask our travel advisors, so they can add it.

Day 13: El Calafate

Day at leisure to enjoy any of the optional tours around El Calafate. We suggest a visit to Estancia Cristina, a bike ride out to the lake, or a boat cruise to explore some of the more remote glaciers in the region.

Day 14: El Calafate / Ushuaia

At appropriate time, you will be transferred to the airport to take your flight to Ushuaia, known as the City of the End of the World.

This beautiful city is surrounded by mountains and facing the Beagle Chanel

Upon arrival, you will be taken to the hotel.

Day 15: Ushuaia: Trekking & Canoeing in the National Park

You will be picked up from your hotel and drive towards Tierra del Fuego National Park. Once at Ensenada Bay, you will have time to enjoy the view over the Beagle Channel before starting the trekking along the coast.

These six kilometers of wild trail will give you the possibility to watch the native flora and wild fauna of the channel as well as the opportunity to discover old native remains left by the ancient dwellers of the area, the Yamanas. In 3 hours you will reach Roca Lake where lunch will be ready. After a complete homemade picnic you will start canoeing along Lapataia River, which will take you to Lapataia Bay on the Beagle Channel, precisely where the Panamerican Highway and number 3 National Route ends. Return to Ushuaia.

If you prefer a less adventurous option for this day, just let us know and we will change this activity for another one that suits you better (maybe, the Train of the End of the world or a lighter trekking).

Day 16: Beagle Channel Cruise & Fly back to Buenos Aires

After making your way to the tourist pier, embark on a boat excursion along the famous Beagle Channel. You will gain panoramas of Ushuaia Bay and see the diverse marine wildlife, such as cormorants and fur seals, on De los Lobos and De los Pajaros Islands. On one of the Bridges Isles, you can explore the island for concheros, or giant shells, and enjoy the views of Chile and Argentina. Not to mention, passing the Les Eclaireurs lighthouse. During the excursion, you can enjoy snacks and the favorite Argentine drink, mate.

At the appropriate time you will be taken to the domestic airport for your flight to Buenos Aires.

Upon arrival, you will be taken to your hotel in Buenos Aires (private service).

Day 17: Buenos Aires

Day at leisure to explore the cobbled tree lined streets of Palermo Soho in search of one of a kind Porteño fashion, to sit in café and enjoy perfectly aged glass of malbec, or perhaps to sip yerba out of your newly purchased mate gourd while people watching in one of the parks that makes up the Palermo Bosques.

Day 18: Buenos Aires, the end of Argentina & Chile Tours

At the appropriate time you will have a private transfer to the international airport for your flight back home.

We loved the trip and we are very happy with the experience

The hotel Senderos hosteria in El Chalten very comfortable beds and friendly staff. In addition they offered us a bottle of champagne for the honeymoon. Also the Hotel Austral in Ushuaia was really good quality and friendly staff. In general the excursion were well organized Argentina and we liked to have arranged the transportation in advance. We liked also to be able to reach to you and tell you how the trip was going. From our point of view the excursion plan and activities in Chile could improve, for example in Puerto Natales we booked a trip in the afternoon in our own because we had a lot of time. We also wanted to see pinguins and we could not make the trip. I think is worth it to mention the potential excursions we can have in each place. Overall the experience was very positive and we enjoyed the trip a lot. Thanks again,

Maria and Luis

Really enjoyed the trip!

"I learned about Say Hueque through the internet – mainly trip advisor. It was an easy choice to work with you because there were not many available recommended tours. I also liked the easy communication through the online chat and that it was possible to make last minute bookings. I also consulted my sister who owns a travel agency in Singapore and she mentioned that the prices offered by you guys seem quite reasonable.
Being able to make changes to my tour at the very last minute was my highlight of traveling with you - thank you for helping to arrange! The tours were also in very small groups of just 3 people so it was more cozy. Hotel Peninsula Valdes was ok, didn't stay at other hotels.
My favorite excursion was Doradillo excursion but this was done by another tour agency (i think it's Flamenco travel as Huinca travel didn't have available tours. Huinca travel was really great in being able to help me do the last minute arrangements too). In addition to watching the whales, the guide took us to other locations which had beautiful views and we even went on a mini trek!
The initial itinerary provided to me had a tour to Punta Tombo to see the penguins, and I was only told that Punta Tombo is not available AFTER i made confirmed the tour by making the payments. The itinerary provided should have been an up-to-date one since it is customized. I had 2 options as replacement for my Punta Tombo tour (2nd day): Punta Loma and Doradillo. Initially i chose Punta Loma but on the whale watching tour during the first day, the guide told me that the sea lions are in the Valdes area and not Punta Loma this season so Punta Loma would be pretty empty.....hence i made the last minute request to change to Doradillo. This was a lucky decision for me because i met other tour customers who went to Punta Loma and told me there was no sea lions to see at all. While I' m happy that you guys managed to grant my last minute request, this information should have been made known to me when the tours were offered also to avoid disappointment.

Guides gave lots of information, in Spanish and English and full of humor!

"We just returned from a 3week South America trip. It was great.
We searched on internet and learned about Say Hueque. We decided to travel with you because the comments over the 6day trip Attacama-Uyuni were really good.
I would say our highlight were the good guides who gave lots of information. We only stayed in e one hotel, the Don Tomas hotel in San Pedro.
We had short excursions and one large: the three day 4wd to Uyuni. The El Tunio exursions was great. Early to get up but worth it. The 4wd tour was awesome with highlights and depths (the overnight stay in the refugee: ‘basic’ accommodation was an understatement). Although an experience, it took many hours to recover from it.
I forgot the name of the guide to the El Tunio geysers – he was awesome (I believe he is an San Pedro artist). He gave lots of information, in Spanish and English and full of humor

Mendoza and surrounding area is beautiful.

"Mendoza and surrounding area is beautiful. I have appreciated the checkins at both locations.
I would like to say that there are some parts of my trip that were great and others that were not that good unfortunately.
The airport transfers have been wonderful and very timely. The hotels have been beautiful and clean; with staff being very helpful.
However, the tours and some aspects of the tours were very disappointing. I am aware there was an error for the city tour pick up. I am greatful that alternative plans were arranged allowing me to see the great historical elements of Buenos Aires. However, the tour was rushed. I had the opportunity to walk around certain monuments. However, I did not get the chance to walk around and explore the different areas for extended periods of time. I think I was expecting a walking tour and I am not sure if the usual tour involves driving around to different sites. The Tango show and meal was amazing.
The tours I have had with Huenata are well organized however, I was placed in all Spanish group for both of the tours. The tour guides were able to speak in both Spanish and English however; it was difficult for me to interact with the group. As a solo traveller group tours are usually the opportunity to met and socialize with different people. I was looking forward to seeing award winning vineyards in Mendoza and unfortunately the wine tour was average.
The full day tour through Acongua mountains to Uspallata was absolutely beautiful! However, the restaurant we went to for a late lunch was not good. The service was poor and the food was very poor. This meal cost 200 pesos; for a meal that was half eaten. I paid 280 pesos for a fantastic meal at the hotel. The full day tour should include lunch.
I thought I would be getting a better quality for the tours especially considering it is low season. I am not sure that this tour has given me great value for my money.
Thank you,
