Day 1: Your Adventure in Argentina, starts in Buenos Aires

Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to the city and you’ll have the rest of the day to enjoy the city at your own pace. Buenos Aires is a marvelous, furious, cosmopolitan city, full of plenty of colours and different kind of architecture. Capital of Argentina and described as the Paris of South America, Buenos Aires proudly embraces this title, as well as showing off plenty of its own culture!

Argentines are usually eager to host visitors: if you walk the streets with a map, someone will surely stop and ask if you need directions. That’s our spirit!

So, for this first day, be free to wander the cobblestone streets lined with outdoor cafes, enjoy the mouthwatering aroma  of prized Argentine beef sizzling on an open parrilla (barbeque), and browse the local antique and artisan markets that offer plenty of bargain shopping.

Day 2: Buenos Aires

In the morning you will enjoy our traditional 4-5 hour long Buenos Aires city tour. You will be swept away by the highlights of our beloved Buenos Aires.

Over the course of a half day you will have the chance to visit the historical and political center of the city around May Square (Plaza de Mayo) and the Pink House (the presidential house). San Telmo with its cobblestone streets and  the oldest residential neighborhood and La Boca where Buenos Aires turns colorful and tango is ever present: come to walk Caminito street and dance with the locals.

The next stop: Puerto Madero where the city gets modernized, Retiro where the cutting-edge Kavanagh building rises like the guardian of the neighbourhood. Continue to the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires: Palermo, which is divided in 3 main sections (Palermo Viejo, Palermo Soho and Palermo Hollywood). You’ll visit the chic and aristocratic Recoleta, where the big palaces remind us that Buenos Aires was once the “Paris of the South”. Discover the final resting place of Eva Perón, “Evita” and wander through Recoleta Cemetery where she is to be found.

In the evening you will be picked up from your hotel to be driven to a mystical place where you’ll discover one of our most ancient traditions. Tango is more than our national dance. Tango is: our immigrant origins, the talent of our local artists, the sensuality of the Argentine woman and our way to deal with a broken heart, dancing our way through tragical and yet eternal love stories.

Tonight you will enjoy a professional display of tango and music with a group of local artists onstage immersed in an elegant and alluring place. The manners, ambience, clothes and dance steps which tango lovers used to practice 100 years ago will come to life again and you will travel in time for a night. This spectacular 3-4 hour long demonstration of the finest local dancing will be accompanied by delicious Argentine and international cuisine. Dinner is à la carte, beverages included so you can lose yourself in the ethereal taste of Malbec wine. At the end of the evening, around midnight, you will be driven back to your hotel, fully in love with the bohemian spirit of our beloved Buenos Aires.

Day 3: From Buenos Aires to Mendoza: Wineries Tour

Today, we’ll pick you up at your hotel and drive to the local airport—Time to fly to the Wine Country!

Argentine wines are worldwide famous, it’s no secret. People travel from afar to taste that heavenly drop squeezed from the unique Malbec grape. Mendoza is Argentina’s main wine region, heartland of Malbec grape (and other tasty types) and home of impressive mountains like the forbidding Aconcagua, the tantalizing summit for seasoned climbers around the world.

Why come to Mendoza? Because it’s the top eclectic destination of Argentina. From snow capped mountains to untamed rivers and sunny vineyards, there is an option for every taste. This is the perfect destination for romantic getaways but also the right place to go for healthy impressive outdoor sports—adventurous rafting, rappel and zipline among many others. Summer time is the best period for adventure!

Upon arrival to Mendoza, you will be taken to your hotel and during the afternoon you will take a 4 hour long trip to visit two of the best wineries of the area. In a small group, with a bilingual guide, you’ll learn the secrets of the wine making process directly from the experts’ hands. Soak up their wine philosophy and taste the delicious locally produced Cabernet and Malbec grape guided by a wine expert. In the afternoon we’ll take you back to your hotel to enjoy your first relaxing evening in town.

Day 4: Mendoza Tours: High Mountain Aconcagua

Have you already climbed high in life? Today is your chance! You’ll visit the Cordillera de los Andes, one of the largest range mountains in the world and the backbone of Latin America.

This day starts really early in the morning right after breakfast. We’ll pick you up at your hotel and take you to a 10-12 hour long trip to visit stunning viewpoints and discover forbidding views of Mount Aconcagua (6900 m.a.s.l), the second highest peak in the world after the Himalaya Range.

Take your coat! Even in Summer time, you always get cold in higher areas. We’ll take NR 7 to get to the impressive Potrerillos’ viewpoint where sits its colossal dam at the edge of the enthralling Cacheuta Valley, famous for its thermal waters. Further ahead, the Puente del Inca will arise at the verge of river Las Cuevas. This beautiful natural monument is famous for its healing hot springs and its golden-tinted rocks. There was a time when this bridge didn’t even exist. The legend says that a group of Inca warriors, whealing to help the emperor’s son to get to the healing waters, grabed their hands and made a human bridge which gods decided to transform in the actual rocky bridge.

From here, you’ll also appreciate the magnificence of Mount Aconcagua, the “colossus of America”. We’ll continue visiting Los Penitentes, the famous ski center, and at Las Cuevas (at 3.200 m.a.s.l) town we’ll stop to have lunch (not included) before heading to the Cristo Redentor de los Andes (Andes Christ Redeemer). Only in Summer time and if weather permits, we’ll get to the giant bronze statue, created in 1904 to preserve peace between Chili and Argentina. In the afternoon, after having visited all these higher paradises, we’ll take you back to your hotel.

Day 5: Mendoza, the land of Argentina Malbec

Mendoza is the land of  pleasure-seeker travelers. Enjoy your free day swimming in the pool facing a gorgeous mountain view or in wild hot springs. You can also take lunch in a vineyard—pair your relaxing evening with cutting-edge local wines.

If you feel like continuing your immersion in Argentine wine culture, take a day tour (not included) to a new bodega (winery) and meet the genius behind these original wine productions. From boutique top drawer wineries, to traditional vineyards and specialised options for families and lovers, Mendoza’s winery route will surprise each traveler with its tantalizing flavours and smells, rooted in well time-honored traditions.

Day 6: Mendoza

Mendoza is also a good place to unleash your adventure lust. This is your second free day in Mendoza, you can purchase any of our adventure day trips (not included)—Go rafting in the bucked waters of local rivers or perhaps a horseback trip among sunny vineyards. Have you ever felt like a bird, floating in the air? Take a zip-line ride and get your wings!

Day 7: Mendoza

At the appropriate time, you’ll be transferred to the local airport to take your flight to Buenos Aires. Once in the capital, we’ll take you to the international airport to take your flight back home.

If you don’t want to end the adventure, keep on exploring the Wine Country or extend your journey by purchasing any of our travelers’ favorite Argentina tours through the wild  Patagonia or awe-inspiring Iguazú Falls.

Buenos Aires & Mendoza

Write a Review

Mendoza and surrounding area is beautiful.

"Mendoza and surrounding area is beautiful. I have appreciated the checkins at both locations.
I would like to say that there are some parts of my trip that were great and others that were not that good unfortunately.
The airport transfers have been wonderful and very timely. The hotels have been beautiful and clean; with staff being very helpful.
However, the tours and some aspects of the tours were very disappointing. I am aware there was an error for the city tour pick up. I am greatful that alternative plans were arranged allowing me to see the great historical elements of Buenos Aires. However, the tour was rushed. I had the opportunity to walk around certain monuments. However, I did not get the chance to walk around and explore the different areas for extended periods of time. I think I was expecting a walking tour and I am not sure if the usual tour involves driving around to different sites. The Tango show and meal was amazing.
The tours I have had with Huenata are well organized however, I was placed in all Spanish group for both of the tours. The tour guides were able to speak in both Spanish and English however; it was difficult for me to interact with the group. As a solo traveller group tours are usually the opportunity to met and socialize with different people. I was looking forward to seeing award winning vineyards in Mendoza and unfortunately the wine tour was average.
The full day tour through Acongua mountains to Uspallata was absolutely beautiful! However, the restaurant we went to for a late lunch was not good. The service was poor and the food was very poor. This meal cost 200 pesos; for a meal that was half eaten. I paid 280 pesos for a fantastic meal at the hotel. The full day tour should include lunch.
I thought I would be getting a better quality for the tours especially considering it is low season. I am not sure that this tour has given me great value for my money.
Thank you,

I can say is our trip was amazing!!!! I don't often write back when things went well, but I felt compelled to since we had such a great time and were so well taken care of.

We finally caught our breath back in the States and all I can say is our trip was amazing!!!! I don't often write back when things went well, but I felt compelled to since we had such a great time and were so well taken care of. Thank you so much! You guys did a great job, everything was perfect from the transfers and flights, to the tours, and hotels. Really can't wait to come back to Argentina, we ate so much steak, and drank so much wine. What a wonderful country, what a terrific vacation!

L Hotel in BA was perfect, very happy with it.The Palermo area was a lot of fun.
The hotel in Mendoza was perfectly situated to downtown
The hotel in El Calafate, Kau Kaufasun, was by far the best hotel, they were also very helpful at the desk in knowing what we were doing every day and confirming our pickup times with the tour operators.

Sak and its tours in Mendoza were excellent. The Wine tour was really well planned and executed, definitely one of the highlights of the trip in the Andes mountains was also very good as well.

The tour company in El Calafate was also terrific ( Huellas del Sur?). Timely pickups and excellent explanations about our itinerary in Patagonia.

The Big Ice tour in El Calafate was the highlight of the trip. Something I'll never forget and the tour company did a terrific job. We were bone tired during the tour the next day to the Christina Ranch, but it was still excellent.

Also the Tango show in BA was quite an experience, the dinner and service was more than I expected.

Overall guys, I can't tell you enough how much we enjoyed this trip and we have you to thank. I'd definitely recommend Say Hueque to anyone, and am looking forward to booking another trip with you guys as soon as we have enough vacation time built up!

Cheers for now

Company Reviews

Really enjoyed the trip!

"I learned about Say Hueque through the internet – mainly trip advisor. It was an easy choice to work with you because there were not many available recommended tours. I also liked the easy communication through the online chat and that it was possible to make last minute bookings. I also consulted my sister who owns a travel agency in Singapore and she mentioned that the prices offered by you guys seem quite reasonable.
Being able to make changes to my tour at the very last minute was my highlight of traveling with you - thank you for helping to arrange! The tours were also in very small groups of just 3 people so it was more cozy. Hotel Peninsula Valdes was ok, didn't stay at other hotels.
My favorite excursion was Doradillo excursion but this was done by another tour agency (i think it's Flamenco travel as Huinca travel didn't have available tours. Huinca travel was really great in being able to help me do the last minute arrangements too). In addition to watching the whales, the guide took us to other locations which had beautiful views and we even went on a mini trek!
The initial itinerary provided to me had a tour to Punta Tombo to see the penguins, and I was only told that Punta Tombo is not available AFTER i made confirmed the tour by making the payments. The itinerary provided should have been an up-to-date one since it is customized. I had 2 options as replacement for my Punta Tombo tour (2nd day): Punta Loma and Doradillo. Initially i chose Punta Loma but on the whale watching tour during the first day, the guide told me that the sea lions are in the Valdes area and not Punta Loma this season so Punta Loma would be pretty empty.....hence i made the last minute request to change to Doradillo. This was a lucky decision for me because i met other tour customers who went to Punta Loma and told me there was no sea lions to see at all. While I' m happy that you guys managed to grant my last minute request, this information should have been made known to me when the tours were offered also to avoid disappointment.

Guides gave lots of information, in Spanish and English and full of humor!

"We just returned from a 3week South America trip. It was great.
We searched on internet and learned about Say Hueque. We decided to travel with you because the comments over the 6day trip Attacama-Uyuni were really good.
I would say our highlight were the good guides who gave lots of information. We only stayed in e one hotel, the Don Tomas hotel in San Pedro.
We had short excursions and one large: the three day 4wd to Uyuni. The El Tunio exursions was great. Early to get up but worth it. The 4wd tour was awesome with highlights and depths (the overnight stay in the refugee: ‘basic’ accommodation was an understatement). Although an experience, it took many hours to recover from it.
I forgot the name of the guide to the El Tunio geysers – he was awesome (I believe he is an San Pedro artist). He gave lots of information, in Spanish and English and full of humor
